Title explains it all. Wink

artist: The Traveling Wilburys
title: She's My Baby

She's got her pudding in the oven
And it's gonna be good
She better not leave me
And go out to Hollywood
She got the best pudding in the neighborhood

She's my baby
She can drive a truck
She can drive a train (my baby, ma-ma my baby)
She can even drive an aeroplane
She's so good to look at in the rain
She's my baby

She's comin' down the sidewalk
She's stumblin through the door
She's coming home from places she's never been before
She sits down on the sofa
She poors herself a drink
Says, "Honey, honey, honey ain't no time to think"

My baby
My baby

(guitar solo)

My baby

She's got a body for business
Got a head for sin
She knocks me over like a bowling pin
She came home last night and said,
"Honey, honey, honey it's hard to get ahead."

My baby
My baby

She can build a boat
She can make it float (my baby, ma-ma my baby)
She can play my guitar
Note for note
She likes to stick her tongue right down my throat
She's my baby

My baby
My baby
My baby (repeat and fade)

and crank up your speakers, brother and sisters!

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!

On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green, can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your overlords.

On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.

So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins,
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.

Heart

Out of a secret longing

They know their way from here

Out of a growing dream

They follow the road we create

I see what I've cut behind me

Lost on the bottom you often found me there

False conscience is beyond me

Lost in the backwoods I lie open to you here

Just leave me here

These men are running hard

But you keep down your voices

Living only to judge heavy

All mysteries aside there was a truth outside

Leave me here and I'm born again

Leave me here in this void again

Now I am open left for dead

Just like salvation comes in the end

Let Me Be Your Armor
by Assemblage 23

Let me take the fall
Let me take the blame
Let me carry you from hell to home again

Let me walk for you
When your legs are weak
Let me find the words for you when you can't speak

Let me be your armor
Let me be your shield
Let me take away the pain you feel (your armor)
Let me be the light
That guides your way through darkest night
Let me be your armor

Let me take the blows
That were meant for you
Let me help you the trials you're going through

Let me keep you safe
From the world outside
Let me wipe away the tears that fill your eyes

Let me be your armor
Let me be your shield
Let me take away the pain you feel (your armor)
Let me be the light
That guides your way through darkest night
Let me be your armor

Let me keep you from
Experience you need
Let me bind you with my selfishness and greed

Let me stifle you
Let me have control
Let me smother every aspect of your soul

Let me be your armor
Let me be your shield
Let me take away the pain you feel (your armor)
Let me be the light
That guides your way through darkest night
Let me be your armor

English Translation of what I am listening too....

One fine day we'll notice
A thread of smoke arising on the sea In
the far horizon,
And then the ship appearing;
Then the trim white vessel
Glides into the harbour, thunders forth her cannon.
See you? Now he is coming!
I do not go to meet him. Not I! I stay upon
the brow of the hillock, And wait there... and wait for
a long time, But never weary
of the long waiting.
From out the crowded city There is coming
a man, a little speck in
the distance, climbing the hillock.
Can you guess who it is?
And when he's reached the summit,
Can you guess what he'll say?
He will call: ``Butterfly'' from the distance.
I, without answ'ring, Hold myself
quietly conceal'd,
A bit to teaze him and a bit so as not to die
At our first meeting; and then, a little troubled
He will call, he will call:
``Dear baby wife of mine,
Dear little orange blossom!''
The names he used to call me when he came here.
[to Suzuki]
This will all come to pass as I tell you.
Banish your idle fears, For he will return
I know it.

Act 2, Part 1, Song 2 (madame butterfly) sung by Mirella Freni

"What Is Life" -- George Harrison

What I feel
I can't say
But my love is there for you
Any time of day

But if it's not love
That you need
Then I'll try my best to make
Everything succeed

Tell me what is my life
Without your love?
Tell me who am I
Without you
By my side?

What I know
I can do
If I give my love out
To everyone like you

But if it's not love
That you need
Then I'll try my best to make
Everything succeed

Tell me what is my life
Without your love?
Tell me who am I
Without you
By my side?

"Defying Gravity" by Idina Menzel (single version)

Something has changed within me,
Something is not the same.
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game.
Too late for second-guessing,
Too late to go back to sleep.
It's time to trust my instincts,
Close my eyes
And leap...

It's time to try defying gravity,
I think I'll try defying gravity,
Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity,
And you won't bring me down.

I'm through accepting limits
'Cause someone says they're so.
Some things I cannot change,
But 'til I try I'll never know.
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost;
Well if that's love it comes at
Much too high a cost.

I'd sooner buy defying gravity,
Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity,
I think I'll try defying gravtiy,
And you won't bring me down.

Unlimited,
My future is unlimited,
And I just had a vision almost like a prophecy.
I know it sounds truly crazy,
And true, the vision's hazy,
But I swear one day I'll be

Flying so high, defying gravity,
Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity.

So if you care to find me,
Look to the Western sky.
As someone told me lately,
Everyone deserves a chance to fly!

I'm defying gravity,
And you won't bring me down,
Bring me down,
Bring me down...

"In The Flesh?"
Pink Floyd
The Wall

So ya thought ya'd
Might like to go to a show?
To feel the warm confusion
That space cadet glow?

Tell me, is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you'd expected to see?
If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise

Lights!

Roll the sound effects!

Action!

Drop it! Drop it all!

Drop it on them!!!

oh, poor Butterfly!
I went to see "Miss Saigon" on the Broadway stage in New York City, and at the intermission mentioned to a lady in the row ahead of me it was a modern adaptation of Puchinni's 'Madame Butterfly" and she said she was sure that would violate some copywright, and anyway. . she had never heard of that opera. . .
I just chuckled

Shankill Butchers by The Decemberists

The Shankill butchers ride tonight
You better shut your windows tight
Theyre sharpening their cleavers and their knives
And taking all their whisky by the pint
Cuz everybody knows
If you dont mind your mother's words
A wicked wind will blow
Your ribbons from your curls
Everybody moan everybody shake
The shankill butchers wanna catch you
Awake

They used to be just like me and you
They used to be sweet little boys
But something went horribly askew
Now killing is their only source of joy
Cuz everybodys knows...

(repeat)

The shankill butchers on the rise
Theyre waiting till the dead of night
Theyre picking at their fingers with their knives
And wiping off their cleavers on their thighs
Cuz everybod knows...

(repeat)

The shankill butchers wanna kill you
The shankill butchers wanna cut you
The shankill butchers wanna catch you
Awake
Awake
Awake

Creepy. I like it. Razz

Social Enemy
by Front Line Assembly

Join in the masses believe in what you think
This human generation creates the weakest link
No more point in trying when the end result is dying
Blow your load or self explode
I am bored with this living

As I corrode, As I implode

All alone ( He's so desperate )
So disturbed
He's so borderline
So alone ( So forgotten )
In this atrium of lies

Bizarre contamination
Bizarre annihilation
Suicide

In the wake of devastation
My brain defies isolation
In the face of adversity
Anti climatic hypocrisy
Lurid pacification
Rulers of this nation
A fourth world destination
Self immoral annihilation

As I corrode, As I implode

All alone ( He's so desperate )
So disturbed
He's so borderline
So alone ( So forgotten )
In this atrium of lies

Are You Dead Yet by Children of Bodom

Don't hear, don't deem. Drown in before you dive.
Don't care, commit to your self destruction drive
I kiss the ground with love beyond forever
Flip off the sky with bleeding fingers till I die

Enemy, take a one good look at me.
Eradicate what you'll always be,
Your tainted flesh, polluted soul through a mirror I behold.
Throw a punch, shards bleed on the floor
Tearing me apart but I don't care anymore.
Should I regret or ask myself
Are You Dead Yet?

Wake up, don't cry. Regenerate to deny the truth,
The fiction you live in blindfold your eyes.
Disclosure, self loathing. This time you've gone too far.
Or could it be, my nemesis that you are me?

Enemy, take a one good look at me.
Eradicate what you'll always be
Your tainted flesh, polluted soul through a mirror I behold.
Throw a punch, shards bleed on the floor
Tearing me apart but I don't care anymore.
Should I regret or ask myself ARE YOU DEAD YET?

Also my hero.

Alright, Alright. So the last one was probably really inappropriate.
I switched the song than.

The Birth of Tragedy
The Kovenant

He will be there the unhallowed redeemer
The great accuser - The man of the future
Embraced by bitterness and cold compassion
The burning wonder... tears heaven apart

There is no salvation
The end is failing no need to remain
This stained procession of religious failure
Is the birth of tragedy

If there's no future... No bright tomorrow
The end is failing... No need to remain
Love was just another reason for hatred
The end is coming - The world opens wide

There is no salvation
The end is failing no need to remain
This stained procession of religious failure
Is the birth of tragedy
There is no tomorrow... Just end it all today
There is no salvation... No need to remain

Alien Erotica... Colliding black suns

I can't justify your need for worship
Decadence is just a human virtue
There is no need to fight the future
Eternity is just a death away...
The world will end in fire
The world will end in fire
The world will end in fire
The world will end in fire

There is no salvation
The end is failing no need to remain
This stained procession of religious failure
Is the birth of tragedy
There is no salvation...
There is no salvation...

A little less aggressive.. kind of.

Bad Religion - I Want To Conquer The World

Hey Brother Christian with your high and might errand,
Your actions speak so loud, I can't hear a word you're saying.
Hey Sister Bleeding Heart with all of your compassion,
Your labors soothe the hurt but can't assuage temptation.
Hey man of science with your perfect rules of measure,
Can you improve this place with the data that you gather?
Hey Mother Mercy can your loins bear fruit forever?
Is your fecundity a trammel or a treasure?
And I want to conquer the world,
Give all the idiots a brand new religion,
Put an end to poverty, uncleanliness and toil,
Promote equality in all my decisions
With a quick wink of the eye
And a "God you must be joking!"
Hey Mr. Diplomat with your worldly aspirations,
Did you see the children cry when you left them at the station?
Hey moral soldier you've got righteous proclamation,
And precious tomes to fuel your pulpy conflagrations.
And I want to conquer the world,
Give all the idiots a brand new religion,
Put an end to poverty, uncleanliness and toil,
Promote equality in all of my decisions
I want to conquer the world,
Expose the culprits and feed them to the children,
I'll do away with air pollution and then all save the whales,
We'll have peace on earth and global communion.
I want to conquer the world! (x4)
