Who here watches Monk? Hope people here are interested in this one. Probably not.

I truly loved the first couple of seasons and recorded each episode. They killed it when they replaced Sharona; I haven't watched it since. His continued love for Trudy is beautiful. I just cringe thinking that they are going to bury that. My favorite episode was with Willie Nelson when Willie and Monk (on clarinet) played "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" at Trudy's grave.

Monk is one of my very favorite television shows, not least of all because of my own obsessive-compulsive tendencies. I love how his quirks work in his favour. Very Happy

And I also preferred Sharona.

Not a bad show, I watch an episode every so often.

It is definitely one of my favourite programmes, unfortunately here in the UK it is treated very poorly. It is shown on BBC TWO on Saturday afternoons but a different time each week, sometimes with no episode for several weeks, and they always stop before the end of a season (or half season). Currently we are still only up to "Mr Monk Gets Fired" which was last Saturday, and about fifteen months behind the US.

The Hallmark channel also show it occasionally, and when they do it is in a regular timeslot, but they can only show episodes after the BBC, but it is good for reruns.

I think my favourite is probably "Mr Monk Goes to Mexico".

Another six episodes until Sharona leaves for us, and that will probably not be until next summer.

Michael.

I've only seen a couple episodes, but I had a pretty damn funny conversation awhile back with a couple of people discussing Monk's OCD, and OCD in general- under the general assumption that i do not have OCD. So, one person said something like, "I know someone with OCD, and he seems pretty normal," and I kept all references to my knowledge of OCD totally hypothetical.

Considering how I'd ordered dinner, though (I pretty much magaed to get a greek salad in a mexican restaurant), I don't think they would have actually been that surprised. I just decided to hold my tongue- and bite my cheeks.

I saw Monk for the first time the other day, USA was having a Monk marathon, so I decided to watch one. Found myself rolling around laughing at the things Monk does, not because they are strange, but because I do so many of the same things! Finally tuned away after 3 or 4 episodes! Laughing

I love Monk! I have the first two seasons on DVD, I watched them so much that my roommate joked that if they were VHS tapes they'd be worn out by now. Unfortunately, I missed some of the new episodes this season because we didn't have TV at school. Does anyone know where I can download them?

They announced that the downloads are available on their website. I don't know what format they are in itunes maybe?

I love Monk! My oldest boy went through a short period of liking him.
He cracks me up.

I love the show. I watch it religiously. I buy the DVDs for my non-cable-subscribing friends (and they love me for it!). New season start Jan 13.

They have a "How Monkish Are You?" quiz on the Monk website: http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/monkish/

I took it twice and got "More Monkish than Monk" noth times. LOL. Yeah, I admit it - I carry wipes in my purse. What can I say? Other people are so...icky...
