What this test actually seems to measure is you knowledge of obsolete or near-archaic words. If you've read a lot of 19th Century or earlier books, you'll do well.

The only thing I did poorly on was figuring out which tests, I'd actually taken. I hadn't memorized the scores, and the names didn't always help (Stanford Binet I remember, tho...Wink

A really good memory also helps. I know I’ve seen all those words on the first page before but the only one I actually remembered the meaning to was "choleric". I read a word, am forced to look it up, then later I forget the meaning. Unless it shows up often I forget. I suck at spelling too.

All these scores in the 130-150 range. Most aspies seem to have way better memory for words than I do.

I can't do this test, it's in English. My English isn't good enough to do the test and receive an accurate result.

The test and his answers aren't very logical, in the translated version. Thanks anyway

a lot of these words are centuries old. Many of them actually have roots in other languages, which the translator may not pick up on.

I seem to remember that choleric was one of the 4 humors (substances the body generated in balance; if out of balance, you became sick.) which is practically medieval...

The concept of humors is represented in Ayurvedic medicine, which uses three types of state the body can be in. They're called "Doshas." There are Pitta, Vata, and Kapha. I think they are quite ancient, too, but still used today.

Before I saw my results, I typed the following line, as a preemptive measure against imminent negative emotions:

I got a 90. Not surprised. I have a very tiny vocabulary and I don't read that much.

Then I saw my score and it says:

Snapshot Report
Vocabulary
SubFacor IQ score = 138
Subscale percentile = 99

You appear to have a very extensive vocabulary. You know the meanings of most of the given terms, some of which are extremely advanced. Your excellent vocabulary can help you communicate and understand the written word.

Which is total bullshit. I don't have an IQ of 138. I don't even know the meaning of most words on that test. I feel sorry for those of you who believe your score on that test is meaningful.

That's what they say the difference between HFA and AS.
AS have a higher verbal IQ than nonverbal IQ. As were HFA have a higher nonverbal IQ than verbal. My daughter nonverbal IQ is 99 percentile. Where her verbal IQ is 75 percentile; that is a significant difference.
Overall my daughters IQ falls into the gifted catergory because her non verbal IQ is so high. The psychologist said it is amazing.
She also said she could tell from the IQ test results alone that she would be a child very prone to tantrums because of the difference between IQ's.

That's weird.

When i was diagnosed about 8 1/2 years ago (with Aspergers), my visual/spatial score on Stanford-Binet was a standard deviation at least above my verbal score (it was 145-150, whereas the verabl score was 110-120). About six months ago when my diagnosis was changed to HFA my IQ test (WAIS-III) had my verbal a standard deviation above my performance (93 versus 77). While the overall subscores only a standard deviation, there is substantial scatter within (such as, some subtests I scored in bottom 1 %ile, and others in top 9 %ile, averaging to 85 which is 15 %ile).

On this test.:

Vocabulary
SubFacor IQ score = 137
Subscale percentile = 99

You scored 116 on the Analogies scale.

I am envious of you. My score is too low.

Vocabulary
SubFacor IQ score = 108
Subscale percentile = 68

Could you tell what is the maximum score for each part of this test? With this score, am I mentally impaired?

I wonder whether I can rise my score by exercising. Sad Sad Sad

You appear to have a very limited vocabulary and lack the ability to identify the correct responses for a variety of different questions. A deficient vocabulary can hinder you in many ways; you may struggle to find the correct words when speaking, fail to understand what others are communicating to you, or come across as inarticulate to others. Fortunately, with practice, and by expanding your reading materials and making a conscious effort to learn new words, your vocabulary can gradually increase.

No Way. Shocked

Some one let me know I did good do not look at the IQ score and just say I did good. ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
