Is it just me, or is it the only decent magazine nowadays? I like reading Reader's Digest. I have a few hundred copies I got at yard sales

I tend to be found delving into 'National Geographic' myself. Smile

RD is good. I also like Consumer Reports, Time and Mad.

It's okay. I had a free subscription to it, but I think it ran out. I like Scientific American and MacWorld myself. Smile

I like Forbes and Cat Fancy. The Reader's Digest used to be good, but now has all of these celebrity interviews.

I liked RD about 5 years ago. Recently it is kind of crappy. More ads, etc. Still a decent mag tho. I like New England Journal of Medicine myself, but its so pricey Sad

I used to love RD; grew up with it in the house, then my parents used to give us gift subscriptions every year once we each left home. But went a few years without reading it, and when I did again I didn't like it. Too conservative for my personal taste. Well put-together, though.

My mags are Popular Science, Smithsonian, and Nut & Volts. I yearn for the
good old days of Popular Electronics, and Radio Electronics. Fortunately some
of the columns from the defunct Electronics Now still survive as "cyber-zines".

I'm into Popular Science and Psycology Today. I enjoy reading about how the Human Brain works. Cool

I agree. There are way too many ads and it seems to have almost a People magazine type of feel. The vocabulary tests are far less challenging and the jokes are sometimes in questionable taste. I can also do without the celebrity interviews.

I've never read Reader's Digest before.
Normally I pick up Time and MacLean's (a smarter, Canadian version of Newsweek) and sometimes Psychology Today, but that one is mostly full of unscientific bullshit.
