|
|
Hi all,
I scored very low on this test and would like others (whoever has the time and the interest) to take it and say if they're surprised too.
Thank you in advance!

68/155
I'm not surprised though really, and on the ones where you were supposed to try to figure out the person's emotions... I just put I don't know for half of 'em 'cuz it was like trying to figure out real people, I guess... I generally just walk away instead of bothering to, lol. That and scrolling back up because I had forgotten what they looked like before I got back down to the question was just irritating _________________ Sorry for the long post...

Okay, so it took a bit of time, but here's my report:
Snapshot Report
Subscale IQ score = 70
Subscale percentile = 2
70
According to your self-report answers, your emotional intelligence is very poor. People who score like you do feel that they have trouble dealing with their own emotions and those of others. They struggle to overcome difficulties in their lives and they are unable to control their moods. It’s hard for them to understand how best to motivate themselves and reach their goals. In addition, they find social interactions quite difficult, for several reasons. They may have trouble allowing themselves to get close with others, finding it difficult to be vulnerable enough to establish intimacy. They also report having trouble offering support to others, likely due to the fact that they do not understand where others are coming from or they lack ideas about how best to help. Perhaps by working on your problem areas, you can become more confident in dealing with your own emotions and those of others. |

Oops.
Forgot to add:
I'm surprised by my score because I didn't think it would be so low.
Sure, all of us here have trouble socializing and reading faces... but still, I'm actually quite popular with my coworkers and with my friends, especially since people say that I have a good sense of "being kinda crazy" and having fun.
I find the best way to get around not being able to just *know* what people are feeling is to just ask them about it. |

Thank you so much for taking the test!
I got 73 and was very negatively surprised, I thought I'd done well. |

I posted this on another website forum (not Asperger's related) and most got over 110. I wanted to know if the test was reliable. _________________ "It is the wounded oyster that mends its shell with pearl" - Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Subscale IQ score = 63
Subscale percentile = 1
Uh... at least it's not lower than that? (that's supposed to show high emotional intelligence, right?) |

Well i thought i knew the theory just failed in practise. Anyway, i got
Self-report Component
Subscale IQ score = 73
Subscale percentile = 4
which confirms the fact that i am a bit deluded.
I am not going to have a personality crisis about this though. Obviously there is something wrong with the test. |

| I think most of us probably fall pretty hard on the section with photos and the "What should so-and-so do?" questions that followed. |

lol, I was looking for the ones that say "walk away and hope they don't ask you what you think"... unfortunately, none of them really did, lol. _________________ Sorry for the long post...

| I got an 85 (18th percentile), which although it is the highest of anyone here so far, really surprised me. I thought I had done really well. Oh well. It makes sense that I would do better than most Aspies though, since the social difficulties associated with NLD aren't usually as severe as those associated with AS. |

Haha, yeah.
I was looking for the "DO I LOOK LIKE I KNOW? LEAVE ME ALONE! D:" option. |
