It would be awesome if there was a Pokemon game in full 3D in which you:
Start in Kanto
Kanto starter
Battle Gym Leaders
Battle Elite Four
Unlock Legendaries and Johto region
Go to Johto
Pokemon levels reset (lvl 5)
Johto starter
Johto Gym Leaders
Johto League
Unlock Hoenn region and Johto legendaries
Go to Hoenn
Pokemon levels reset (lvl 5)
Hoenn starter
Hoenn Leaders
Hoenn League
Unlock Sinnoh region and Hoenn Legendaries
Go to Sinnoh
Pokemon levels reset
Sinnoh starter
Sinnoh Leaders
Sinnoh League
Unlock Sinnoh Legendaries and any new regions (unlocked with WiFi)
Go to new regions
Pokemon levels reset
Pattern repeats infinitely

Hey,
I'm actually working on a game where you start in another place entirely, but you can choose from any of the starters available.
If any pokemon fans want to help out, I could use all the help I can get. I need sprites, map tiles, maps, music, sound effects, data entry, and a client/server model. I have the beginnings of a client/server protocol, I just need to tie it all together and make it work.
Any interest?

Or a pokemon mmorpg, like.
But, yeah, I've always been bummed that you can't travel between places. I don't know about resetting levels, though. Maybe there should just be some restrictions on "international" transfer. Like not using Kanto party in Johto. And personalizing trainers sounds good.

Yeah, my idea was for a MMORPG. Shame there's already one in the works...

I played it for a day or two pretty boring and everytime your about to win somebody they either quit the battle or run,
