I am now 28. I recently self diagnosed myself and a major suspect in asperger. I havent seen any doc yet on this.
I have taken the test from
http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php
and the score shows that i am a most likely an aspie.
I broke with my two of my ex recently and I am pretty frustrated. I just dun understand what they want. No, I am not coming here for relationship advices. But it seems aspie (ppl with asperger) have such problem throughout their life. I just want to have ordinary life.
I realized a few things but i am not sure if this is the place i should share it out but I cannot hide it anymore.
When I was small, i always think i am special. I did amazing things for my classmates. Creating games. Paper games. And then I memorizing every single countries with its capital is one example. I was the best among them. That time I was 8 years old. When I reach 9 years old, I finishes all the exercises in the Math text books. And I did it twice without any mistakes and error (no copying too).
The teacher was frustrated with me too, not sure what to do with me, but I am the quiet type. My classmates get to dislike me as I was different from them. they just dun like me. Reason ? Unknown.
Then as I grew older, I realized this as well, whenever I got cut or injured, I just don't know about it until I see it or I notice there is some dry blood on my shirt or elsewhere. Even its a deep wound. I hardly feel the pain. All this is like a curse. Sad
Later on, as I moved on, maybe 16. I starting to have this thing. Deja Vu ? I am not sure. Its like I can see partially for a few seconds but I would stand there for some time looking out at emptiness. Was it intuition ? Its not like when i want to see it, I see it. But I see it when my life is in danger or threatened.
Pls bear with me, if I did cause some misunderstanding here. No bad intention here. I dun have a good english grade here.
Now, one of my ex know about this far seeing ability. She experienced with me and fear me deeply.
Anyway, I cant discard this ability if I truly have it. So the thing is is there anyone has this sort of experiences ? Ability to see into the future maybe just for a few seconds ? I thought I was just making it up but things happen for real later on. Sometimes, I can see like I was there and sometimes, i was like getting hints. For example, if i am a christian, I told some of my friends that a new book will be introduced and guess what, The Gospel of Judas was announced that year. The things is I only know a new book will be introduced, not the name of it.
So...
could this be my hallucinations ? or my weaker mind could have make it up ? Maybe someone can help me ?
Or is there any familiar test ? All this are interupting my job, I cant focus clearly on my job. |

My first thought was "2 ex-girlfriends! - wow" - there are lots here who have never had 1 ex - lol
Things aren't so bad then.
But I know what you mean about being distracted from work. Discovering you likely have AS takes some time to deal with.
You'll be OK. |

I think this is actually part of one of my aspie "superpowers." When I was younger and had worse symptoms, I would dream strange dreams, that didn't make any sense at the time, about places that I had never seen before, but I still regularly see places and events that I dreamed about. Unfortunately since I changed my diet, and thus reduced my severe symptoms, I haven't had any predictive dreams in a while. _________________ Demain il y a une autre jour.

Yes, I can give you guidance!
However, how come you told your schoolteacher about all this? _________________ Jason Larsen

I do something very similar to my wife all the time. We will be doing our own thing and not talking and I will say something like, "Don't worry about getting the tires changed on the old car, I am going to get it done this weekend."
And she will just stare at me me with her mouth open for a few seconds before she says, "How the hell did you know I was worrying about that at that very moment when we haven't even talked about the car yet.
I just figured it was something couples did, but she says it scares her a little.
As for the rest of your story, it might as well be me. Relationships are hard for people with AS. I can't tell you how many relationships failed on me over the years. I really thought that maybe I was just a huge jerk without ever realizing it. My wife seems to understand me these days, even if my ways drive her crazy.
As for the school problems...i think the majority of use faced just the same things. |

I sometimes get premonitions, nothing dramatic, just things like imagining someone I haven't seen for ages is going to turn up soon and then lo and behold I meet them by chance.
I think everyone can have these experiences to some extent, possibly there are
unknown forces at work ? Those with AS may be more aware of premonitions due to a greater focus on inner thoughts in general.I've never really had omens of anything bad,so it doesn't worry me so far.In any case I've had more things happen completely unexpectedly, good and bad.
Wingcross,I don't want to downplay your concerns, but is it possible your ex didn't
so much fear your abilities but was perhaps thinking that you were becoming preoccupied
with them ? I don't think it means you are hallucinating or have a weak mind.
There's a saying - Expect the worst,Hope for the best.
I hope things get better for you _________________ I have lost the will to be apathetic |

If you mean how often do I get premonitions Jason, maybe once a week.Sometimes
they are more like coincidences.Once I was at work and chatting with a colleague
about a footballer whose name was David Elliott. Then the phone rang and it was
a customer whose name was - David Elliott (a different person with the same name) _________________ I have lost the will to be apathetic

I hope I am not psychic because I have many very vivid dreams about a post apocalyptic world and it doesnt look like a nice place to be.Perhaps I am veiwing an alternative universe or just watched a "apocalypse" type movie when I was young and it left an impression on me? _________________ Just because one plane is flying out of formation, doesn't mean the formation is on course....R.D.Lang

Nobody I recognise. Most of the dream is me watching society falling apart and trying to find ways to survive, find food and shelter and avoid the roving bands of violent people. It actually might be my processing when I was homeless, though that was 17 years ago and I would have thought I was "over that" by now. _________________ Just because one plane is flying out of formation, doesn't mean the formation is on course....R.D.Lang
