have i raved yet about how awesome living away from home is? no? then i will. since coming here i have gone out on sundays which is something that was considered out of the question, i come and go as i please without having to make up or research excuses to give or be back at any time and i can go wondering about at night and i dont have to delete cookies, cache and history when i leave the computer and i dont have to freak out when i forget and i can leave my mobile lying around and not delete messages. i have all my political and queers stuff on display, on my bookshelves, on my walls. i can crossdress and not have to hide it. when i come home all i hear is not "have you joined a cult?", "are you seeing somebody? is it a boy? is it a girl?", "what have you done to your face?", "who will want you with that face?", "anorexic freak", "you will never amount to anything". when i say good night it is to people i want to have a good night for real and i feel safe here. and i can discuss things in the open, i can use the words gay, bisexual, queer, trans without being given the eye and it feels good to be able to discuss sexuality in the open like that. i totally brought home 2 copies of the star observer(queer paper) and left it lying around just because i could. i love this i love it so much. its more wonderful than words can ever describe. sigh. happy. so happy. i could cry.

OH MY GOD I HAVE SOCIAL SECURITY!!!!! CENTRELINK SAID YES!!! THEY SAID YES!!!! i have been freaking out about this for half a year. i could cry. im so happy. im totally making lists now of what i need and what i can get- i need a bed, a hair cut, shoes with no holes in them, a bookshelf, herbs and i need to celebrate this somehow so i will buy cake mix and ginger pop and tim tams and hot chocolate, wagon wheels, and wafer sticks and i will nom on them. im so happy. this means i dont have to resort to anything drastic or even consider going back and im so happy. im going to go buy yoghurt and labni on saturday. i need to say thank you to the youth workers at my youth group that helped me through this every step of the way and without whom i would not be here and to comrade and other comrade for helping me and supporting me in various ways. thank you guys. love you. yes i feel bloody rich! i mean i know it is below the poverty line and $200 per week isnt exacly living it up but i feel rich! it feels so good. im so happy. i swear i did a little dance after i opened up that envelope and when i told my comrade she hugged me and i am so bleeding happy. i hugged the cat too. and i thought there was some horrible mistake at the bank when i checked my netbank today and saw what was there. wheeeeeeee hahahahaha. heeheehee giggle.

Never mind. I just have to keep on swimming! Laughing
Finally, a sport that I actually like! And a major calorie-burner, too!

A full day to do what I wanted. I worked in the yard without anyone talking to me. I hung out sheets and laundry on the line...love the smell. I smoked a little. I listened to every scientific american podcast ever broadcast. I organized the items in the bathroom into common sense locations...plan on label making tomorrow. Super awesome day worthy of raving about.

life is golden right now. things have never been so good and im almost afraid to say it in case i jinx it and it all goes away. i cant really believe everything is ok because since when has it ever been like this? i mean when i started doing stuff with SA i felt happy but now its like that all the time. its bloody wonderful. looking at me right now & me a year ago is strange. i feel like im moving around in circles a little bit- doing the same stuff as last year at the same time but with variations that make them so very different. this time last year i was doing the marxist discussion group, in a week it will be o-week at uni when i helped SA out with stalls when i "accidentally" bumped into them at the library, we'll be having public meetings on campus like they did before i was a member, there will be a banner painting thing like there was same time last year. im redoing my life and making it better. a whole lot has changed about me & my circumstances in the last year: i'm living life by my own terms & isn't it just great?!

And then there's Hot Topic. I want a blue hoodie(or black, I have not decided)that says YOLO. I also want some other things.
