This is one of the most coveted parking spots at the shop because it's right next to the door, but I cannot stand to park here. A co-worker thought it was odd that I wouldn't want the space closest to the door. It was the only one available oddly enough when I pulled in from lunch because another person left work earlier. That's when I took this shot

Why don't I like this spot? I'm always afraid I'm gonna drop my keys down that sewer!!!!

When I told him why, he thought I was odd for worrying about that. My though, well, yea, but if I drop my keys down that sewer, I'm not going to be able to drive a work van, my own car, get into my house, or even get back into the office! Anybody else think about things like this?

Yep. I tend to worry about details that don't really matter. It may come from life being difficult enough already that I try to be very careful to avoid making any mistakes that might cause more difficulty. If that makes any sense.

I completely understand your fear. I'm quite clumsy and it's very likely that it would happen at some point. I'd probably drop my keys and then kick them into the sewer as I was trying to find them. And then have a lovely meltdown. Crying or Very sad

I know why you worry. It's only a matter of time before the keys get swallowed.

Clumsy at all?

I can understand that real concern. One day, when I was working at a local hospital in my hometown, a young guy I work with
decided to throw the basement fileroom keys to me as I was getting on the elevator. Of all the places to fall, the keys landed on
the "crack" of the elevator and the floor. I had to get maintenance to retrieve the keys for me out of the elevator shaft.

But, getting keys out of a sewer? That would be a real problem!

I almost dropped my keys down a storm drain once. It's no trivial matter! Shocked

Guess what!!!! I have the *****EXACT***** same fear! Where I am right now, there is a drain, and I try to keep alert. I have a funny stim that puts my keys at risk when they are about to be used!

In that spot, if I wasn't worrying about my keys, I'd be worrying that I'd step just right and get my shoe caught on it somehow... lol, I avoid sewers.

You have a point! I used to have LOTS of trouble on stairs that were like that. They were eventually OUTLAWED! TODAY I am larger, so it is probably less of a concern that it will happen, although the potential for injury is higher, but at least I have avoided that problem for almost 40 years.

That's a little odd (not that I am not...). OCD sucks and is so hard to live with. A lot of people (especially those with AS) have obsessive compulsive behaviours (which are similar to OCD). I don't mind being a Tourettic Aspie, but OCD is horrible to have. Also to the person who wrote this thread, I too get weird thoughts and worries such as that, usually involving train platforms. That IS OCD.
