I am thinking on buying a smart car, I have my eyes set on a used 2006 smart car for a decent price. The car is in top shape and the price with the incurance company looks good too.
Does anyone out there have a smart car? Or know anyone with one? Are they glad with the purcahse? Anything I should know before I seal the deal?

I was thinking about getting one, I am not to sure about the winter driving, with these cars, they look like they would get lost in a snowbank or in a big rut in the road. How much were they asking for a used one, they tend to sell them at a higher price in Alberta

I don't know anyone with a Smart car, but they are are incredibly safe.

From the research that I have done, these are low-risk cars, which means the insurance is very good, they are also (supriseingly) really good in winter driving as well, BUT only if you have the specialty winter tires for them, the engine is located in the back of the car, so uphill winter driving is very reliable.
So far the pro's outwheigh the cons, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any horror stories that I should know about before getting one.
