Don't need to know anything to be considered interested and eligible for this thread
Random fact about straps! average chest harness (like shown above in photo) can run about 400-600 dollars for non custom made and for custom made anywhere from 1000-5000 dollars )
can you say cha ching! _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net my WP threads by clicking below

I don't have to pay... When you have a medical condition necessitating them the health insurance pays.. *Dances* yay!
Now if i want to get more straps then i will have to cough it up myself... When i become rich i will buy out the companies (bodypoint and therafin) what paradise the warehouse would be for me _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net my WP threads by clicking below

Depends on what domain...
In my medical condition all my muscles are failing and i can barely hold myself up, hence i have serious spinal deformities... straps help to keep you held up and also can in some cases where the deformities were caused by horrid positioning (majority of my deformity came from horrid positioning) can actually help correct said deformity...
on the autism end, well i just like the way it feels to me so _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net my WP threads by clicking below

How tough are these straps ? Are they on par with seat belt straps? I like those, since I don't want to die. Definitely my favorite strap besides roller coaster straps, since then I really don't want to die either! _________________ Warghh!!!!!!!!!!! |

Probably even stronger than seatbelts, there have been several crashes involving powerchair users using bodypoint (shown in my avatar) and therafin (shown in picture)
powerchair users survived with ZERO injuries! parents injured like no tomorrow
the scientific reason is probably due to the wide area pressure distribution unlike a seat belt which focuses it on the hips and pelvis and shoulder harnessing distributes it across shoulders chest and belly _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net my WP threads by clicking below

i actually had a dream that i was in a powerchair and had the stayflex on,(thats why i went to bodypoint site the day after) about replacements for seatbelts, GM, buick, ford dealers, why not, it looks comfy and would yes help save lives because of wide area pressure disotribution, and less pressure during a crash means no broken bones or bruises,
only problem i see, is that the zipper might cause fine motor issues for people with cp or limited use of hands (arthritis) _________________ <<"norton" antivirus |

thats funny how you had a stayflex on in your powerchair lol
Actually they have different types of zip pulls... even have huge ones you can stick your fingers through... _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net my WP threads by clicking below
