Hi people, I live in the UK too, I am male and 44. Tomorrow is my 8th wedding anniversary and this is an achievement for me as I didn't think I would ever get married at ome point. Although I am married I don't have many "friends" as such and my wife doesn't have many either which means we are "alone together" a fair amount.
I have never actually met any other aspies - well not anyone who labelled themselves as such. I would love to discuss things with them. |

Hello, I'm a 27 year old male from Washington DC, United States. A few years ago I was diagnosed as having a schizoid personality disorder with antisocial features. I believe that I'd have been more appropriately diagnosed as autistic (of high-functioning type). If anyone is interested in talking drop me a few lines.
I'm actually quite lonely despite being generally well liked. I often chose to be alone because I can't easily relate to the passions of others. I've never spoken to a fellow autistic individual and so I'm quite curious to compare experiences. |

Hmm, well, I'm 22, and I make my area of habitation by the university area in Orlando, Fl. I have very few friends - 2 of which are in a band so I seldom see them anymore. So far in my major - Digital Media - I haven't spotted any other people whom I think might possibly be an aspie. I have only met one other fellow aspie (hangs out at one of the places my friends' band plays at) who gave me some good advice on how to speak slower (I speak very fast).
I guess you could say I want to befriend another aspie because then I can relate to someone more, so I don't have to keep saying "No one understands me except for me".
I like History, History Channel, Science Channel, ideas for stories, intellectual conversations, some anime, some art, , Futurama, Family Guy, crossword puzzles, mazes, some sudoku, word searches, eating baklava, ice cream, pringles, and I will most likely scold you if you insult Mozart =P _________________ Every morning, blow up a really big balloon. Then, with ear plugs over your ears, slowly let all the air out of the balloon, letting it make that high-pitched sound. Tell your neighbors its a science experiment if they complain. |

Hello. I'm a 30 year old woman living near Nashville. I'm not formally diagnosed, but having read and studied quite a bit, I can definitely see many aspie traits in myself, especially my behavior as a child. I suppose I'm either very mildly aspergic or else an extremely odd NT.
I like archeology, astronomy, and new age topics like astrology, cryptozoology and ufology. If I could only have books by one author, I would pick Douglas Adams. I'm not good about initiating things, but I would welcome pm's from people. |

I am a 25 year old female from North Carolina. I just bought Michael Carley's book 'Aspergers inside and out' (or whatever, i'm too lazy to look at the exact title)and it describes me so well. The good thing is that I have an appointment early next month with the psychiatrist, so I will bring that up. I have been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, depression, and a touch of ADD. However, I've always felt that something was missing from my treatment. This latest doctor (I may switch doctors) has changed my medicine and dosing several times in the past two and a half years.
I don't feel like saying much since it's late and I have to work tomorrow, but the main thing is that I like cats. Since December 2006 I have been going to cat shows a few times a year. It is the one place that I feel at least some belonging since I appear obsessive with my love for cats and caring for them to those outside the cat show community. My cats are my babies and I love them very much (even though sometimes they irritate me like human children . |

I'm 20, from Knoxville, TN. Music, movies, video games, art, and just drinking and hanging out are my favorite activities, but anything is pretty much cool. I've never hung out with someone that was on the spectrum, and would really like to. PM me if you're in the area. _________________ Now streaming via VibeStreamer! Hello-
I am a 28 year old man living in Juneau, AK. I was just diagnosed here in April. I lived in Fairbanks, AK for seven years or so. Before that I grew up in Issaquah, WA. My interests are weather and seeing what makes people tick so maybe I can help them somehow. I also like to play games and just have fun if I can ever get over my anxiety of meeting people. Hey send me a pm if you want.

| I've been on here for a little while, but haven't made any friends. I figured I would introduce myself again. I live in Northern Virginia. I like science, nature, astronomy, history, etc. I read older fiction and fantasy, once in a while I read a sci-fi book (prefer watching sci-fi movies and tv shows). Would really love to own a box turtle. I too know no other aspies and would love to meet some. |
