Definitely, if there's enough room for you to do exercise DVDs, get them! Most of them don't require that much space and there are DVDs for all preferences - kickboxing like Tae Bo, cardio dance, strength training (some new DVDs include exercise bands), Pilates - which is obviously one of my favorites, if you checked out my other responses in this section.
I review exercise DVDs (I even have a 300+ page website devoted to reviews), and I'd say that at least 85% of the exercise I do involves DVDs (the other 15% is me walking - I'm fortunate to live in a very pretty, safe neighborhood - and strength training on my own, since I have a full set of weights and a bench). And I am fit and look it! (I am just lucky that one of my "special interests" happens to be exercise.)

Do lots of jumping jacks, squats, lunges, squatting low and jumping high into the air, running in place (pick knees up), run up and down a staircase.
most of those you can do in your living room. |
