Well the CAA representative is no other than George Mason after beating Northeastern, UNCW, and William and Mary to dance once again like in 2006.

For the last two nights I've watched San Diego pull upsets to win their division tournament. They just beat Gonzaga, they're a big underdog but I don't see how they can be denied a bid now.

Well they play UConn in the first round so it will be interesting watch if they beat them.

Portland State will have their clocks cleaned by Kansas tomorrow.
But at least OSU made it in. The Beavers will play against Memphis.

The Big Dance? North Carolina vs. UCLA!

I'm excited and I've already filled out my bracket Smile

I have Carolina, Duke, Memphis, and USC in the final four, with Carolina winning it all.

UCLA might make it to the final four, but I don't see them going further than that. They made their way to a #1 seed thanks to Love, but the rest of the team isn't fast enough to compete with Duke and Carolina in terms of speed.

(not that I would like Carolina or Duke to win, though Smile )

UNC could lose again to Mason like last time in 06 or Indiana/ Arkansas.

UCLA has UCONN in its bracket so UCONN can beat them if they face each other.

Being number 1 doesn't mean you will win for sure.

I like to see Mason face American for East Regional Championship.

Oregon is in facing Mississippi St.

UNC has some tough competition on the way up but nowhere near as tough as Mason or American. Mason would have to win against Wazzu, UNC, and Notre Dame (not a bad team in it's own right despite their showing in their tournament) and American would have to drop both Tennessee and Louisville. The problem with those schedules is that UNC has a huge bench and lower seeds tend to exhaust their talent pretty quickly.

The east ended up overly top heavy, I think. The south is more balanced and the midwest is really balanced. The west is a complete mess where they seemed to shove everyone who didn't "fit" (georgia vs xavier? I'd almost be tempted to favor georgia)
