Toatally agree great picture, sums up so much - where did it come from!

Was helping on a school camp recently and told my grouop of boys to give themselves a name, and yes they choose "Pie" and they named me Lady Pie - do not feel I will lose that for a while.. maybe could change to Lady Pi help me feel more relevant Shocked

I prefer 355/113 = pi * 1.000000085, because it's so much closer than it should be able to be, if anyone gets my drift?

And... "The string 999999 occurs at position 762 counting from the first digit after the decimal point. The 3. is not counted." (The Pi-Search Page)

Again, that's much earlier than it really should crop up ( Smile ).

Lady Pie, cute name!
I found the cartoon by searching PhotoBucket for pi* tags.

helps to memorize pi

also an equation that relates five of the most important numbers in math

1 + e^(pi*i) = 0

Pi in from the sky topic

Trust the Greeks to have figured this one out. A useful math tool for geometry.

Oh my gosh! Pi people! I thought I was alone in the world. XD Haha, I love pi...as I had to end my name with it [Alaspi]. The day I got my first pi shirt (the symbol composed in its string of numbers) I sat for about 6 hours and memorized maybe the first 500 or so and then I fell asleep.

It means a lot to him to see so much support. pi has a hard life.

Although not as hard as e's, apparently.

e forever!

Well, I mean...pi is cool and all, but...e really does rock.

At any rate, no worries, irrational constants for the win! Happy quite belated (and early) Pi day!
