| Quote: | HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - A man who received a heart transplant 12 years ago and later married the donor's widow died the same way the donor did, authorities said: of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No foul play was suspected in 69-year-old Sonny Graham's death at his Vidalia, Ga., home, investigators said. He was found Tuesday in a utility building in his backyard with a single shotgun wound to the throat, said Greg Harvey, a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. |

Maybe she is annoying and they couldn't stand her? More seriously now, its weird that he married her. No, that SHE married the man that received her deceased husband's heart. It's amazing that she didn't resent him for being alive while her husband died to save him

Maybe the heart held the love for this woman, and when it was transplanted into the other man he got this love? Unfortunately, it seems the heart also held the suicidal tendencies of its previous owner as well... |

Well, I think we should look at the guy instead of his wife - since he needed the heart transplant, he obviously had very serious health problems, which may have made him quite miserable.
Furthermore, the knowledge that the transplanted heart was from a suicide must have woven itself into his thinking, combining with his other problems, and wearing away at him, until . . . _________________ L'enfer, c'est les autres

The heart is a lonely hunter topic
Perhaps the heart transplant recipient felt a sort of victim's guilt. I have read about this. The patient realizes someone had to die in order for him to live. This can be a great burden, so counseling is needed.
I do not blame the woman, now widowed twice. _________________ Radical Aspergian

They could meet at the hospital, maybe the three knew each other from way back (which can explain better the suicides) _________________ Join my FaceBook cause for Autistics rights!!

| This makes me think of that movie that's coming out where that woman gets eye transplants from a psycho and starts going psycho herself. |

The heart is just a pump and holds no thoughts or emotions. Really this is sad, but the implications being deposited are fallacious to say the least. _________________ Ego non psittacum sum, sed amici mei psittacos sunt.

I'm calling BS on this story...
transplant donors are not identified to the recipients of the organs... _________________ The lives of the wicked should be made short.- Sweeney Todd |

Sure they are - it happens all the time. They identified the girl (a suicide) whose face was used for that face transplant on the French woman whose dog ate her cheeks, nose, mouth and chin off.
That was really personal, too - I mean, her FACE, not just an anonymous thing such as a heart . . . _________________ L'enfer, c'est les autres
