| Only answer this question if you HAVE ASPERGERS. I'm just trying to get a little figure. |

Diagnosed with Aspergers and associated conditions...
Currently unemployed, but after working for around 25 years full time feel I needed a break from working and society in general. All good and it helped me to find myself, diagnosed last year and hence my web site, now able to help others..
If I work or not, I always find things to do.. but we do not always get paid for working for ourselves or doing unconventional things... _________________ "Believe in your self, we are who we are - as it can feel like an endless task trying to be someone else!" Employed - part-time. Was working full-time, but couldn't handle all the people and noise. I felt like I couldn't get away from it since I have two teenagers and they don't have aspergers and are very social (house is full of kid's often). So, after working a long day, I could never de-stress at home very easily. I'd put earplugs in and retreat to my room. But it wasn't enough. I was able to go back to part-time at my job and it's working out fine. I now have time to myself during the days I don't work.
I have aspergers. |

Unemployed. I have money from an inheritance, but I would still like to work. I ran a cash register for over year and having to put up with all kinds of sh*t from customers finally got to me and I had to quit before I lost my temper with one of the customers. I refuse to run a cash register ever again. _________________ Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

| "Stay at home Mom" because I am unable to support my family on my skills. I prefer manual labor, my husband prefers to not be bankrupt. So, he works out of home, I'm a housewife. |

Currently employed, but on a Temporary Basis. What with the economic situation these days, I'm lucky to have found anything. _________________ I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I feel my fate in what I cannot fear. I learn by going where I have to go. ~Theodore Roethke |

| Employed, part time during school season, full time during vacations. Haven't been unemployed for a period of over a month since I was 17. I'm useless without a job. I need to work, as some others have mentioned. |

| I am employed, but most certainly "underemployed," as I have several college degrees, but have a lousy job at WalMart. The problem is that I lack "ambition" , as some people have told me, and chose the wrong field (music) to get degrees in. Basically, I am very impractical when it comes to money matters. I just don't care that much about riches and success. |
