Why must Autism only be given such recognition in the month of April...and remains in the "shadows" for the remaining months of the year?

For the same reason that Black's only get the month of February and Breast Cancer the month of October...

I think that it is a huge benefit to the Autism movement that a month has been reserved for Autism. I think it is up to us to bring it out of the shadows the rest of the year... Otherwise, Autism Speaks is going to do it for us.
