It is so you can be monitored and scanned every time you walk past. Soon you will have an RFID tag implanted under your skin so you can be monitored everywhere you go. In the interests of national security of course. Nothing to be alarmed at.  |

it keeps track of how many posts you have made. You notice there are different winged creatures names under your avatar that change as your post count changes and when you reach 500 you will be a Phoenix. When you reach 1000 post count you can customize your rank in your account edit profile.

PS, it is not really a 'barcode.' You can watch it change as you post!
