Well, here I go...I'm 30 years old, live in the Boston area. I have a master's degree in meteorology, although I am a business analyst at an insurance company. I am 5' 10"...about 170 pounds.
I am a "nice guy", but I guess I am rather shy...I might have some trouble expressing myself without stumbling a million times at first. But once I get to know you, things really smooth out!
I like reading...I am a pretty big history buff, especially when it comes to early 20th century American history and the Civil Rights Movement. I also like sociology (especially socioeconomics/generational theory...one of my Aspie quirks! I also enjoy bar trivia (one of my favorite activities), museums, Scrabble and other board games, karaoke, volunteering, watching a DVD or TV show of interest, and hanging out with friends. I guess I have a decent sense of humor...sometimes I can get really get people to laugh a lot.

I'm 24 years old, 5 ft 8 and very skinny. I have a perpetually young look; I still look like I could be 14 (or so I'm told). I would like to think of myself as an intelligent, kind hearted person who just can't seem to keep people engaged. I'm a shy, fairly nervous person, but I'm not afraid of trying to communicate.
I enjoy 3D modelling and drawing. I've always loved to draw because its a way to represent some of the worlds I've dreamed up in my head. I spend more time in my imagination than I do in the real world, but I'm hoping to change that because it just doesn't work that well anymore. I have a few really specific interests, but I've found that I'm a jack of all trades in a way; I know a lot about different subjects and have a variety of different skills. I've found that if I put my mind to something, I can do it well.
Did I do that right? |

Some day I'd love to sit back and read every post in this thread, to work out the male to female poster ratio. _________________ - Everything I ever did, I did because nobody knew how to stop me- |

Real Name: Cian
Gender: M
Ethnicity: One side Irish, other side French-Canadian
Age: 21
Height: 6'2"
Hair: Brown, currently about two and a half inches near the top?
Location: Republic of Ireland
Occupation: Student
Personality Type: I don't bother with these anymore.
Political Orientation: Very left-wing, but more quiet about that than I was as a teenager
Orientation: Straight (more or less)
Diagnosis: Yes, at a young age
Description: I am a mathematics student in third year. I became interested in this site through our shared experience with autism, but I'm not sure how long I'll stay around. My hope is to go into academia. I spend my days largely either talking to people on the internet or working in college. I do not smoke, drink or do any drugs.
The only picture I have online here is my avatar pic. I am not allowed to post any more pictures for a few days. I may come back later and post a couple more pictures when I am eligible to do so, but I am usually self-conscious in front of cameras so most pictures don't turn out so great.
Interests/Hobbies: When I get myself focused, which is not something I'm completely consistent about but nonetheless able to do, there is nothing I enjoy more than seeing a big mathematical system come together - like the Galois theory I'm working on now, where I am gradually figuring out how to deduce whether certain polynomials of degree greater than four are solvable by radicals. As a teenager I was not just interested in mathematics but also in writing. I may yet go back to writing as a diversion from my own studies if I ever manage to stop devoting this much time on the internet. I do read occasionally. I am very interested in music listening, especially popular music, to which I have devoted a great deal of time. I don't care for most television shows or movies, though I do enjoy the odd series or movie if I find the storyline memorable. Unlike music, where I could spend the entire day speaking of my favourites, I could not say what my favourite movies are.
Traits I Value: Being strong-willed and ambitious. I like someone who I feel I can argue with on issues that are not personal without them ever becoming personal. At least one shared interest is always nice as well, and would serve as a good foundation for a friendship. |
My parents will kill me if they find out that I've said this, but you look really cute in your avatar. |

I posted several months ago but only got replies from guys although I put in there that I was looking for women....
Any single gay women in the southwest Virginia area? Preferably no younger than mid 20s and must be a non-smoker.
In brief, I'm 29, Aspie, a second-year graduate student (on-line program) and expect to graduate 17 May 2009. I have a lot of interests, of which Harry Potter is a big one. I write and read fan fics. I used to have a big HP website but had to let it go due to hosting costs.

Feels weird posting this in here, but oh well. I've got nothing to lose. I'll use the chouchou format as well.
Real Name: Dylan
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Euro-Mutt. German, Irish, English, etc.
Age: 22
Height: 6'2"
Weight: ~180-185 pounds
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Blue
Location: Redmond (home) and Klamath Falls (school), Oregon
Occupation: EE Student
Personality Type: My own.
Orientation: Straight
Diagnosis: AS, quite some time ago.
Overview: I'm currently in my first year of real college at Oregon Tech, studying Electrical Engineering. It still seems like I'm just getting a feel for what I want to do. Personality wise, I think I come off as the kind of person who seems a bit cold and uncaring on the outside, but I'm all warm and nice on the inside. I just have trouble showing it. I've got a messed up sense of humor that some people really like. My greatest asset is probably my honesty. I can't get myself to lie about stuff, so sometimes I even come off as too honest. As far as habits, I like drinking once in a while with friends, but that isn't necessary at all to have fun.
Interests and Hobbies: As I said, my earliest interest is electronics. I like to study the history of it, and actually build things as well. Working on obsolete electronic gear is also a fun way to pass time. I'm also the kind of guy who will always attempt to fix something that fails before throwing it out and replacing it. I worked for a couple years with a small circuit board manufacturer, so I'm pretty well versed in that sort of thing.
Another strong passion of mine -- as my avatar photo suggests -- is firearms. That's kind of a touchy area politically, but I appreciate them as beautiful, fascinating, and powerful machines that command respect and responsibility. I love to collect and study all kinds of guns, and I never pass up the opportunity to get out and shoot for a couple hours. My current avatar picture shows me out doing my favorite thing.
Ok, how about music. I have rather obscure taste in music and am way too discriminating. I mostly like instrumental rock, such as Joe Satriani's work. I like some earlier progressive stuff like Pink Floyd, more recent off-the-beaten-path stuff like mid-'90s Porcupine Tree, and a handful of material from the past decade that nobody has heard of.
TV and movies... Well, I stopped watching TV when I went off to school. I don't miss it at all. I watch downloaded episodes of a few shows and that's it. Movies, I don't care. I tend to find myself interested in cult classics lately, but my tastes are never solid on movies.
Traits that I value: Kindness. Honesty. Those are the big ones. A sense of humor is always good, especially if it's warped like mine! I tend to be attracted to some extent to anybody who shows interest in me and my personality, because I can imagine that it takes a special person to do that. I guess I'm just looking for a girl who's that sort of person, and we'd see where it goes from there.
Wow, that was long. Hope it's not for naught... hey, see what I just did there? I'm not always that cheesy. _________________ Well. That was a hastily unloaded pile of incoherence. |

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Ethinicity: Dutch, Irish, and Central American
Height: 5'10''
Weight: 180 lbs.
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Brown
Location: Portland, Oregon
Occupation: Student, but will graduate in June
Orientation: Straight
Diagnosis: Fall 2003, in 8th grade
Overview: I'm in preparations to register for classes at PCC in August of 2008. I'm still perceiving myself as the guy who society wants to beat up every day. Personality wise, people tell me I act creepy during initial meetings, but win them over later. I have a minimal sense of humor. My greatest asset is probably my way of doing things independently.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, writing, photography, renting DVDs from the library, Wrong Planet, Decision2008, watching movies, dancing, old-school radio shows, etc. _________________ Need a Threadkiller Party or

Is this the format? There should just be a "single and looking" flag to turn on and off in the account menu...
Real Name: Paul
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Irish, German, Czech, Cherokee, etc.
Age: 32
Height: 6'0"
Weight: ~200 pounds
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Blue
Location: SW Ohio
Occupation: Student/Being My Own Boss
Personality Type: INTJ
Orientation: Straight
Diagnosis: Nope, maybe some day
Overview: Like a pet cat you can have sex with. Enjoy cuddling, eating, sleeping, and doing my own thing unless I feel like getting attention. I know, I do a lousy job of selling myself, which is why I am not majoring in Prostitution. I have a warped sense of humor, I am a gifted student who loves to learn about everything, and I like to listen as well as talk, especially if someone can talk as fast and tangential as I think. I make experimental techno, burn things with sunlight, and make agit prop in Photoshop. That's more than I've posted on any personals site!
Interests: Mostly topics NTs would find boring, tedious, or pointless. I spend hours following links on wikipedia, for example. _________________ q/p |

FULL NAME: Jennifer Caroline McIntosh
GENDER: Female
DATE OF BIRTH: 20th July 1987
CURRENT AGE: 20
NATURAL HAIR COLOUR: Mousy Brown
EYE COLOUR: Brown
NATIONALITY: British
LOCATION: Wales
HEIGHT: 5"2
CURRENT WEIGHT: 14 stones/196 pounds
ETHNICITY: White/Caucasian
SEXUALITY: I am Gay, although I would not rule out a serious relationship with a man, but no casual flings.
RELIGIOUS VIEWS: A mixture of Buddhism, Existentialism and Humanism
I have Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD): ADD, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. Besides that, I suspect that I have Asperger's Syndrome, though I have not been officially diagnosed. I also suffer from Depression, for which I currently take medication.
I am apparently obsessive about many things, though mainly about Human Rights, and how people should be equal, and be given the right to a better life. I only obsess about it because it's true.
I am a very passionate person, and I am also very curious. I like learning about the world around me. I can be very loud, very honest and very open, which sometimes upsets people. I used to be shy and withdrawn, but now I am out there and I like talking to people, though I do not look them in the eyes. If I do look, it's apparently not as much as I should do. Actually, I look at their eyebrows, or some other part of their face. I only look at people's eyes to see what colour they are.
I am shy, in a lot of repects, like intimacy and I don't like people looking at me. I also don't like crowds, much, though they don't phase me as much as they used to.
I enjoy reading an assortment of subjects, mainly non-fiction, though I do enjoy a good story. I am especially fond of the Agatha Christie mystery novels, the Sherlock Holmes stories, the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, the Harry Potter series, and various other books along those lines.
I like walking through the countryside and observing the world around me, spending time with my friends and family, going to concerts, classical music recitals, the opera and the ballet, going to art galleries and photography exhibitions, wandering around museums, cloud watching, star gazing, having picnics in the park or various other peaceful places, taking care of animals, reading the newspaper (I like knowing what's going on in the world), using the Internet, playing computer games, going to the cinema (the only films I will NOT watch are horror films, or anything bloody), listening to music, and generally appreciating life. |
