The subject of Night Waves on BBC Radio 3 on Thursday 26 June from 9.45pm to 10.30pm is Representing autism. It explores the representation of autism in culture from Rain Man to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, and how the condition was depicted before it was identified medically in the 1990s.

It kind of annoyed me that the topic was only on autism for around 15 minutes, but Sascha Baron-Cohen is very right with what he said, I thought.

I think there should be a show dedicated to it, either on TV or radio, because it is such a diverse subject that it needs longer than 15 minutes spent on it.

I found the discussion on autism very interesting, but I was disappointed that the time allowed was not longer.

I strongly agree with what LadyMacbeth wrote:

Btw it's Simon, not Sascha, Baron-Cohen.

Ahh, now this time I stand corrected due to lack of knowledge instead of stupidity!
