I thought this was ridiculous. I had doubt the six year old knew what he was doing. He is in first grade for god's sakes, do six year olds know what sexual harassment is?
All the school had to do was call the kid's parents and tell them what he did, just so they can do their job by talking to him about it when he gets home from school. But not call the police on him.

Thats just sad, and stupid. Here we have these kids who mimic something they see or hear, without any idea what it means, very typical for children really, and when its deemed as a sexual act the police have to come and charge them!!!!
I know the US has some very VERY serious problems, but this problem needs to be dealt with cause its just so stupid.

USA is a very weird country. They support abstinence teaching but all their tv shows and publicity aimed at teens have heavy sexual implications even explicitly. Many teenage single moms are depicted in them, or teens with AIDS and HIV, etc.
Also, they have one the biggest porn industry in the world.
Yet they don't teach no sexual education other than "DON'T f***ing f**k!", most kids probably don't know what a condom is, or that you can get HIV with oral sex.
They have sex everywhere but it's still a stupid taboo.
And they call the police when a 6 years old is doing what he probably saw in a dumb show/publicity in tv shortly before going to school.
I hope all those censoring idiots catch gonorrhea and decide to teach some real sexual education.

America isn't a free country anymore. you can get arrested for anything these days no matter how stupid it is to
arrest you. and if you are poor you just have to bend over and take it because you a re guilty until proven innocent and that just isn't happening with a public defender. at beast you get a plea agreement that you have to take whether you like it or not because if you try to defend yourself they will throw the book at you and give you the maximum sentence for attempting to "waste" the courts time. if you can affords your own lawyer it can be done but with a public defender you are basically without a chance. |

Well, from experience, I agree with what the teacher did. When I was in kindergarten, I was sexually harrassed by one boy in my class. He was constantly proposing to me, he would try to kiss me constantly (and with me being a germaphobe as it is, there was no way I was going to let that happen!), and he would even go as far as to sitting on me so I couldn't escape him. I'm sure he was copying these things from movies or something, but it was still very creepy. As soon as I graduated kindergarten, my mom immediately changed schools for me (Yes, she had seen this with her own eyes as well.).

| In the USA, we did not invent stupidity, but we sure did PERFECT it. The 6 year old should simply have been told it was not a nice thing to do and why--- at his age he doesn't know any better. |

| This is ridiculous. If you wanna hear something else ridiculous, in the US, you can be charged with sexual harassment even if you didn't do anything sexual. If you tell a joke to a friend and a girl walks by and gets offended, you can be charged with sexual harassment. I wonder how many 4 years olds get labeled sex offenders for telling jokes. |

I don't think it's the cops' fault, rather the teacher. Obviously a complete n00b at things.
Not to say that allowing toddlers to get charged for this in the first place isn't questionable (just be lucky they don't end up 'in da crib' as well).

Note to James Bond in Goldfinger: They might now take away your 00 status for slapping a girl's butt. Be careful, I like your movies, I don't want you to get fired for sexual harassment.
Also be careful not to flip anyone the bird. That can be construed as a phallic symbol and therefore considered sexually offensive so it can be reported as sexual harassment. I'm not joking, they told me that at a sexual harassment seminar.
The kid's name was Castro, though. He must be dirty because he has the same surname as Fidel.
