Figured since I made a thread the other week about gay male aspies that it's only fair I do one for women.
The only women I can think of is Patricia Highsmith, she is mention in the book "Asperger's Syndrome and High Achievement" by Ioan James. |

| I once heard a lesbian autistic woman interviewed on the radio. I think it was NPR. It was a really interesting interview because her life had been pretty dramatic. She had been diagnosed with HFA as an adult and she said she lived with her partner and son. Unfortunately, I forgot her name and I don't even remember how many years ago it was. |

That's the woman I was thinking of. Turns out she has AS, not HFA. |

| Virginia Woolf might have been a lesbian, or bisexual, and I definitely feel she was aspie. |

I was told that Woolf was Bipolar, what makes you think she
was an Aspie ? |

Bipolar or Manic/Depressive as a label has been around a long time. AS has not. We got called something and they called us as close as they could get, label wise. My official is Bipolar and I may have that as well, but Aspie fits me to a T and Bipolar leaves an awful lot out. Bipolar hasn't been the only thing they've thought either. And those labels were before AS was on the books here in the Sates.
I don't know if she was or wasn't, just thought I'd throw that out. _________________ Advisory: The hero shoots a lot of people and doesn’t think much about it.
