Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? Didn't Dubya's gramps bank for the Nazis? _________________ At moments when monsters spawn in by rising up from the ground, it turns the action into a gory, protracted session of Whack-A-Mole.

Yes, and Prescott was also implicated in an attempted military coup against FDR. Really though, actively supporting the rise of fascism is rather different from failing to find an effective means of stopping it. Besides, Bush is far exaggerating the threat posed. Not that I'm much of a fan of Obama's, though, for different reasons. _________________ WAR IS PEACE

I don't understand what the grandfather of Bush has to do with W's speech?
If my grandfather killed a family member of yours, would you still use that against me?

Fair enough. Let's just go by what W himself has done. Well, he's gotten a hell of a lot of people killed. I personally would view that as a negative, and I think most others would as well. _________________ WAR IS PEACE

By his actions of going to war, yes. But it at least goes with his motto of not speaking to the terrorist. |

What terrorists were in Iraq before we invaded? I believe Bush speaks with the Saudis. Aren't those the ones who bankrolled Osama? And wasn't Osama himself a Saudi, along with most of the hijackers?
So much for not speaking to the terrorists...
But anyways, I would view "not getting people killed unnecessarily" as a higher priority than remaining consistent about "not speaking to the terrorists." _________________ WAR IS PEACE

Saddam was a terrorist/tyrant and there would have been very little concession between Bush and Hussein. |

Also, to blame all people of a type because some of them did something wrong... what is this called? It starts with an "F" and ends in a "y". _________________ Ego non sum parvus psittacus!

I find it rather funny. In the Democrats zeal to gather President Bush and Sen. McCain together, they've opened up a huge opening for Republicans to run against one of Sen. Obama's biggest weaknesses.
Why they want their candidate to own an appeasment comment (President Bush's comments could easily have included dozens of people not named Barack), I have no idea.

In a six degrees of separation it could be said so.
President Bush (41) served in WWII with distinction and nearly died when his plane crashed in the Pacific. There's footage of him being fished out of the ocean, but it's rarely seen. |
