I am indifferent to clothes; I wear but what is affordable and flattering to my frame. I don't like MySpace, Grey's Anatomy, sports, grade-grubbing, makeup, Evangelical Christianity, beer, emo music, dating, those trashy novels that are aggressively marketed to teenagers, screechy activists, most movies, or wangstas*. Therefore, I have no group to associate with. I wear earmuffs, have a bouncing gait, befriend teachers, begin too many sentences with "did you know. . .?", go birdwatching, am always the first to bring up the Nazis, and am either too serious or too silly for whomever I speak to. Therefore, no group will associate with me.
I go through each day painfully aware of how weird I am.
Some people sit around and wish that they had friends who were different than them. I, always having too much in that vein, wish instead to meet someone with which I have something in common. Someone my age, rather. I have met people with which I have an extraordinary amount in common. Unfortunately, all of them are teachers.
*My mother says I have no friends because I'm too picky. My response is that she, too, could not bear belonging to a wangsta gang or the God Squad. _________________ It's the microbes' world. We're just living in it. |

I've never even heard of the "God Squad".
And the definition of emo music has gotten way too large.. I was on youtube under a rap video (I don't watch rap videos normally but a friend linked me to one and I decided to read the comments before exiting) and I saw someone call that emo.. What is emo.. ugh.. |

I am strange too. I wear what I want to wear and don't give for fashions.
I wear what is comfortable.
I watch what I want to watch. I hate grays antamony. I use to befriend teachers in HS. |

I'm strange too, in the sense that I don't compromise comfort for fashion.
My sensitivity to some fabrics forces me to wear a loose, out-of-trend wardrobe.
If teachers in HS didn't count as friends, I've got a friend count of 2. |

I hate everything you just listed, with the exception of myspace, movies, and sports.
Then again, I know nothing of nazis.
I wear jeans, a dragonforce jacket, and a tony romo jersey. That's the extent of my clothing.
I have 2 pairs of shoes. One is black and one is white.
I personally don't care if my friends are christian, but if they try to start a religious conversation with me, I just mention the flying spaghetti monster and stop talking/listening. _________________ If Jesus died for my sins, then I should sin as much as possible, so he didn't die for nothing. |

I too am strange. I spend all my time watching history channel. Got yelled at by dad's mum for being 'narrowminded' because she asked what I plan on doing with my future, I said something to do with computers. I wear clothes when they fit comfortably, my fave shops are consignment shops. And I usually buy the same thing. I've had this thing for cargo pants, cause pockets rule, and everything must be organised, and I've litteraly gone to the store and matched up the numbers so I knew these weren't just look-alike pants, these were THE SAME PANTS. Although, one year they got smart with me and changed the button style. Took a month to get over that, and mum thought I was being bitchy.
And I don't fit in at all with popular culture. My lil sis, NT lil sis, thinks that I'm 'so out of touch' or however kids phrase it these days. And I've always made friends with teachers |

Teachers are awesome - especially college professors.
That said; my large headphones are the closest I've got to earmuffs. They have the extra benefit of providing music to me as well! |

following the social norm is something I try to avoid, or else be pointed out trying to fit in and then being made fun of for it.
I don't like myspace(can't understand how people can lavish so much on just a webpage)
most of my teachers and I get along well.
I like moives but only the sci-fi or horror flicks |

My mother says i'm too picky also. My last response out of sheer determination to get my point accross was...

I prefer to butcher the norm, honestly. Everyone seems to like the obscurity I provide, and even if they don't I don't care too much. _________________ You are not submitting the post

I'm strange too, with a few things in common. I usually wear no more than my underwear unless I have to. Running apperrel is the only reason I find to care about clothes. I have only a few close friends even though if I wanted to I could socialize more with other people at school and have a normal social life instead of always doing almost nothing. I dislike all the same thing except for maybe sports, but that is a matter of opinion. Running to me is a way of life that is also a sport. Native Americans use to think nothing of running 50mi to a friend's house and then turn around for 50mi back. That's how Kenyans are such good runners. They grow up running 10K to school and back everyday. Some monks believe that running for 100 consecutive days will achieve enlightenment. I could ramble on forever about running, but it's basically my only social outlet and my life. I might go to your state someday for a marathon. _________________ Run or Die |
