This is my first post on Wrong Planet.

I'd like to have your opinion/advice on this situation. I've found that many of you deal with the same frustrations as I do with AS, so I believe that many here can relate to me.

When it comes to work, I've always seemed to loose interest after the first exiting time of learning (around 4+ months). As a result, I get frustrated and alot of thoughts, which I don't like, but above all I seem to loose my belief in myself. I know for a fact that accepting myself for all I'm worth gives me peace of mind, knowing that 'I don't have to fit the world, the world should be aranged to fit me'. And when I think about my current job (night-shift storage worker), I know that it doesn't interest me one bit, having nothing to do with the things I believe in. We tend to blame ourselves alot because we seem to cause the problem, wanting to change, but it seems that the changes we want aren't realistic to achieve through conscious desire. Every living person changes for sure, but as differently as people are.

Right now I am thinking about quitting my job. I am financially secured by the state (although it pays a third of my current income).

I'd be happy for any opinion and advice I can get. Thanks.

Congratulations for lasting four months. I've been in jobs where I lasted less than 20 minutes. My tolerance for being a wage slave has dropped to almost zero. I'm 37 and my prospects are going nowhere but down.

I can relate. I'm completely bored at my job. I don't like being bored. And it's not like I can bring a book into work to fill my time. I've told my boss I don't have enough to do. Anyway, maybe you're ready to move on because you need something more intellectually stimulating. Plus working nights is really difficult to do.
