I'm freaked out that if I don't pick a club to join, I'm never going to get into University (Carleton is my main choice - I just like their programs. But I love Acadia too, though they're much pricier)
My marks are okay (Low 80% to low 90%), and I'm planning on getting over 100 hours of volunteering (even though you only need fourty)
I just don't have the time for it...or the interest in any of the clubs at my school. I would join a photography club or a gardening club if they had one, but there isn't Sad
I might join the golf club in a year or two, but I'm not good enough yet (my swing still sucks)
What should I do!?!

What are the clubs available?
Can you start a club?
If you join the Drama Club, you could be the photographer for them.

Is that what your real life picture looks like? Why not join a modelling club?

most universities don't look at that stuff. when i applied, the only programs that asked for something extra were u of t engineering and waterloo engineering. a friend of mine told me that queens engineering also asked for something like that. they're just a form that you fill out describing extra curricular activities and why you want to choose engineering. as far as i know carleton only asks for extra forms during application for journalism and architecture.

what program are you applying for?

p.s. my marks weren't as good as yours and i got into electrical engineering. if you have over an 85 average you can get into just about anything. the only programs that might require more than that are journalism and architecture.

I'm planning to go into English (not jouralism - this is more creative writing based)
The average is around a 75% for that program, which I'm grateful for!

well if you keep the average you've got now you'll have no problem, and will probably end up with some kind of scholarship if you apply for them.

I think that by grade twelve I'll be getting steady low eighties Very Happy (Though I got an 87% for History Academic, and I really dislike it)

*gets out tacky yearbook again*
The clubs I could potenially be interested in is; chess club, anime club, SAGE (Enviroment group), nintendo club, or peer cousellors.
I don't think nintendo club would count much on the resume, I'm tired of being on chess teams (but if I need to, I will), I like Anime but not the people in the club, and I've never heard an announment for new members for SAGE.
