This is not a joke.

S. DARKO

"It will be called S. DARKO and follow Donnie Darko's little sister (Daviegh Chase will come back to play Samantha Darko) who is now an 18 year old on a road trip with her best friend, headed for Los Angeles... of course she starts having visions and we get going all over again. ... Richard Kelly will not return to write or direct this sequel. Instead they got a guy named Chris Fisher, whose previous credits include NIGHTSTALKER and RAMPAGE: THE HILL SIDE STRANGER MURDERS... They're aiming for a $10 million budget."

POINT BREAK 2:

"When Billy Dalton, military special ops and star surfer, is disqualified from the pro-surfing tour, he takes off for the coast of Bali looking for the perfect wave. While there he’s recruited by a private security force who are trying to find a gang known as The Bush Administration, surfing outlaws and modern day pirates who work like “The Ex-Presidents,” a bank robbing crew from Malibu twenty years ago." (No word on whether or not Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will have cameos.)

Seriously, what the hell? Who actually wants to see these movies?

i cannot believe that anyone would have deemed the first point break good enough to even consider making a sequel. it can't be good...and yeah, i don't think i'll waste any money on it.

(and omg...the original came out HOW long ago? NOW i feel rather old. thanks for that! Razz)

I loved Donnie Darko, but can't even think about it having a sequel Shocked
just to milk the cult following?

You can't have a sequel to Point Break! That's like defying the laws of physics!

Okay, so if Samantha Darko loses her mind like her late brother Donnie, will it be the exact same deal? Another time-travel, end-of-the-world scenario?

Some other large object falling from the sky?

A variant of Frank the Rabbit or the return of Frank himself?

Richard Kelly has nothing to do with "S. Darko", but he gave consent to it (or something like that. Basically he's knowledgable of it's exsistance). It'll certainly be OK, but really? a sequel to "Donnie Darko"? This really feels like it was made to take money from fans. What's next? "The Big Lebowski II"? (although that would still be awesome).
