A lot of people say that they enjoy asperger's and don't want a cure from it. Do you enjoy it or do you suffer from it? I know a lot of people say they enjoy even if they suffer be'cause they cannot do anything about it. So please I want honest answer!

I answered #3. If I was given more access to things, or treated better, I would have said I LIKE it! If I even kept ability as I had it, I would have said I LIKE it! I can't say I suffer though. So I picked what I picked. WHY? Because there is a bug with the display, and I had to give an answer to satisfy my curiosity. Crying or Very sad

I don't suffer from my AS. I'm plagued by some of the things that happen to me because of it, but I wouldn't classify it as suffering. I have a pretty unique take on things because of the AS. Sometimes this take gets me in trouble, sometimes it's an asset. I guess I've just learned to take the good with the bad. I often tend to bang my head in the wall because I don't get stuff, but what are you going to do?

I know in court one day the judge asked my ex if he knew my son suffered from Asperger's. I told him that the only thing my son suffered from was having an ass for a dad.

No I don't suffer from Aspergers because that is not what I was DXed with. As for being on the spectrum - I HATE BEING ON THE SPECTRUM! My life has been much worse than it probably would have been without this Autistic crap.

It's not my worst problem, but it definitely makes it a lot harder to solve my other problems.

No, though there are times I don't exactly enjoy it.

I don't suffer from it, neither do i enjoy it, but if it was not this hurdle, it would be another. There are good and bad things about it, and i just endeavor to make the most of the good. Any associated suffering comes from AS-misguided actions or the ignorance of others in response.

I wouldn't say I "suffer" from being autistic, but it has caused me quite a few difficulties in life, namely mistreatment as a child, having to go to special ed schools my whole life, not quite fitting in with most of my coworkers, being misunderstood, and right now not being where I envisioned myself being at this point in my life.

On the flip side, I think being autistic does have certain advantages. I love animals and can relate to them in so many ways, getting involved with animal rights whenever possible. Also having a strong work ethic and high moral standards, good ability to pay attention to detail, and being able to look at certain situations with a unique perspective.

All that said, I picked #3.

I suffer from the sensory difficulties, which are directly in relation to the ASD.

The social impairment and repetitive behaviours don't bother me (however, the communicative one does, as it requires quite a bit of effort to talk for me).
