This Chesterfield Kings record, Stop!, sometimes hits me really hard emotionally, like it reminds me of ways in which I've screwed up friendships and relationships. It makes me feel deeply guilty. Weird, considering the type of music it is. And yet the songs are so catchy, I can't stop listening to it.
OTOH, a lot of "sad" music actually makes me happy.

Ah yes, I haven't mentioned this before, but I love a certain song they sing in Catholic church called "You Are Mine" by David Haas. It feels me with such a strong spiritual feeling that it gives me the chills and tears just pour out of my eyes. I love it because the lyrics speak to me on a personal level. Here is what it sounds like:

No songs bring me to tears, but these are quite moving:

Sigur Rós - Popplagiš
The Birds Are Spies They Report to the Trees - Adam Smith International
Arvo Pärt - Fratres
Neutral Milk Hotel - Holland, 1945
György Ligeti - Requiem
Slint - Good Morning, Captain
mewithoutYou - Carousels
Richard Youngs - Soon It Will Be Fire
