| Do you feel unfortunate to have aspergers? If so, let me know why. |

now, now Willard! LOL
Sometimes. It did before I knew what I had. Now I'm pretty okay with it. I've learned coping mechanisms, and I'm happier since discovering why I am like I am.
Asperger's has it drawbacks, but not knowing any different I choose to accentuate the positives, and forgive myself when I make mistakes or do things that are considered odd.
I'm okay with it. |

Nah, human society sucks. AS only sucks because we have to live in it. _________________ Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves. All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people.---George Bernard Shaw

The only thing that sucks is I didn't know for too long. Ironically, my family has it, and I found out all my friends/co-workers are Aspies. So yeah, I sort of lived in an Aspie world and didn't know about it. _________________ Strange mix of bird/Sonic obsession... I like the Flickies! |

| As I sit in self imposed isolation, nauseated, fatigued and mentally confined to a psychical void I can't help but answer 'yes.' For me it sucks, it sucks hard. |

I feel very lucky to have AS. It makes me the unique individual that I am. _________________ Sid The Rat is everything that I stand for. We're both large, proud Punkers with Cockney accents. Well my friend tells me were all human and we all make mistakes...
It makes me feel a bit better.
But I do feel better and lucky knowing there is a reason why I have acted the way I have in the last 26 years. I am not offical Dx but I know and feel in my heart that I am. |

I don't mind it as an adult with many years of practiced coping skills behind me.
It sucked when I was a kid.
Like any "monster" that any of us on this earth deal with.... once you put your monster on a leash... and make it work for you... it doesn't seem like the enemy anymore.
(Raise your hand if like me, you needed to say "enemy-anymore" about ten times.) |
