I laugh at all the wrong things. Mostly because I'm an Aspie but I was wondering if it is caused by something else to. For example, I laugh when someone falls in their chair, falls down, at funerals/viewings, when some asks me to do something, when I am accused, and when I hear something I don't agree with. I am quite concerned with laughing at funerals and viewings. People have commented to my parents about my frequent out of place grin. Every guidance counselor and teacher has spent a lot of time with me on it. Even a lawyer had to address it in case I was to go on the stand to testify ( if I did I surely would have laughed). I believe two guidance counselors have thought I have schizophrenia because of this. It comes across very much like that and people have insinuated that to me more than once. I was actually put into a group of children with schizophrenia for a short period of the school day each week for observation. I don't have schizophrenia though. I did though mark on a test by a school psychologist that I sometimes heard my voice being called. I marked that because about once a month or so I could have sworn someone called me but it is not distinct. I think it is more of an anxious/paranoia thing. Do you have any thing like this as an aspie? Please leave your comments.

I sometimes get it. Look up 'schadenfreude'.

Sometimes I get the urge to laugh at something even when I know it is serious and don't find it funny. It may be what they call "nervous laughter", but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, it happens to me whenever I see a child getting punished. For example, when my brother and I were little and he'd get into trouble I'd run away giggling and my mother would tell me to stop. Also, there was one incident in which my niece threw a huge fit and her mother severely punished her. I covered my mouth, ran outside and started laughing really hard.

I never thought I had a problem with this laughing symptom before, but suddenly I read that post above and I started laughing before I could stop myself. Bad. Bad Bob.

I'll laugh at things that are startling and unexpected. It doesn't happen often because there's not much that's startling and unexpected in my life, but my Aspie friend is an exception. He makes me laugh all the time, because he'll suddenly say something strange or shout for no reason, or get up and start pacing furiously. I've had to explain to him that I'm not laughing at him because I find his moods amusing. It's because they come as a surprise, but at the same time are strikingly familiar to me.

Usually in the movies I laugh a few seconds before everyone else does, because the humor is obvious and transparent and it doesn't take too long for a joke to sink in, but everyone else seems to take a long time to understand it.

Other times I'll just laugh at random words. When I'm with friends it's nice 'cause usually a new inside joke will form, but if it's with strangers or unpleasant people I'll try to hide it because they'd just look at me weird Razz

LOL. Cool. Laughing

Well I had a 'weird' sense of humor (and people said it). now that I'm /b/tarded, it's even better as few (if any) are laughing at them either and think I'm on something. Or I laugh at something that other people are like 'huh' withought the chan reference/jokes. I got others to like (some of) the jokes I crack, like the Falcon Punch/Teen Pregnancy one Razz

FALCOOOOON! PUUUUNCH! Laughing

I have a very disturbing, twisted and crude sense of humor. I sometimes laugh at things that I shouldn't laugh at, I'm that corrupted in my mind. Twisted Evil

I understand. Partly due to me being me, and partly due to me being on the internet (mainly TOTSE originally) and seeing those jokes on some sites. See cracking Jenkem jokes (Jenkem is literally huffing fermented feces, some guy on TOTSE did it and the people there managed to get it on some news networks. I think 420chan is continuing the Jenkem joke). "Don't ban Jenkem. That's some good sh**" or "Let's get Shitfaced".

EDIT: can't provide other examples, don't want to offend others.

lol at the movie. Laughing

Actually I'm just a frequent reader of ED, and love using one of the probably most destructive function to one's mind, the random page link. Funnily enough, I was watching the Anonymous V.S Scientology war for the lulz, I came across Project Chanology on ED, and that got me to start reading ED for fun. My life has changed due to exposure to ED. Shocked Cool

Me too. Usually I'll think of some inside joke that would only make sense to me, and I'll start laughing. Then my mom will go, "What are you laughing at?"

Heh. It was the TOTSE that did that for me, it paved the way for ED. It's biased as hell and full of sh**, but lots of it is still funny. Nice place to explain all the new memes for newfags (I remember some of #chan callign ED newfag bootcamp or simply hating them for being dicks and the like).

Then there was the ED vs Unencyclopedia Wars (lesser extent ED vs Wikichan too)

I have a grin plastered on my face usually. I grin on all the wrong occasion too, even giggle.

I just get this urge to grin and can't help it.

If people get hurt, if it is a funeral (I was on one a few days ago and tried not to grin) or if it people get angry, I just grin. I laugh like crazy when I get hurt badly too!

I also do grin when people say neutral things. Monday someone said to me they figured out ballet teacher was friendly and a grin spread over my face and I had to come up with a lie to why I was grinning. I also always grin when I see my friends, even if I feel down.

I wonder what people would say if they would see me sitting on my computer, because I often just break out into huge grins or I giggle.

I have neither schizophrenia, anxiety nor paranoia.

I don't have this, but I've read about so many non-schizophrenic and all typical people experiencing the same for no apparent reason.
