Like in the original 3 Star Wars, all the bad guys are British. In Star Wars you never see a good guy that is British. Why is that? _________________ I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet. |

maybe because the original movie was shot in Britain?..
Ewan MacGregor is Scots, that's the problem?
What about Princess Amygdala? isn't she British?
I dunno..I paid too much attention to the story, etc... |

| Because after they kicked the Spanish Armada's ass in 1588 and sorted out the Cromwell rebellion they went kicking ass all over the world. It was the infusion of Viking blood in 1066 that gave leadership to the Gaelic and Anglo Saxon people that allowed this. Until the USA got strong nobody could stand up to the Brits. Look at how they made their point to the surviving leaders of the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 and you will see how upper class Brit accents make for good villans. Also Peter Cushing was in a lot of the Hammer Films and just plain kicked ass as Van Helsing and many other great roles. |

I wish that it wouldn't be that way. Movies tend to demonize people with British accents. That really pisses me off. No wonder I'm not interested in most of the movies that are in theatres, these days. Oh, I'm a demon, am I? Look at the real life demon with the
English accent. I think that it's because most movies are filmed in America. I'm glad that I don't sound like the majority of the people who are born in North America, and I am not a demon. I'd like to see a movie, where things are the other way around. _________________ Mick Avory is my favourite Kink. He always has been and he always will be. Him and I are two peas in a pod. |

What about Alec Guinness? (Obi-Wan Kenobi) Or Frank Oz? (The operator/voice of Yoda) _________________ BLAKE: You said persuasion wouldn't work and it didn't. So now we use force.

| Because we act it well. The American accent in Britain is associated with being an arsehole or and idiot, so that's what we use you guys for in our movies and TV, and you guys use us for bad guys. Fair's fair. |

In series 1 of the wire both one of the prominent 'good' cops & one gangsters are both british (although the parts are baltimore locals)
Also in most british films, the good guys (well almost everyone actually) tend to be british. |

Alec Guinness and Evan McGregor played Obi-Wan Kenobi (who was a good guy) in the Star Wars movies, and they were BOTH British. |

I don't mean the last 3 they put out. I fotgot what they where called, oh yes, special effects galore. Ewan McGregor isn't in the original 3.
Ben Kenobi is british, but still, you don't see any british people helping out the rebel alliance besides obi-wan. All the fighters that fly in the x-wings and stuff are all americans or not british. _________________ I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet. |
