| I just did this Raven's IQ test . It did not work on my old Explorer browser. So I tried Mozilla Firefox instead and it worked. I scored 126 on it, which is not all that much to write home about but I very impressed with the graphics in it |

I got 118 which is not great, but I enjoyed playing it. The graphics were very clear. |

Actually, 126 is very good. The average for people with doctorate degrees is about 125. _________________ WAR IS PEACE

I scored 130. I surprised even myself. Those last ones were quite tricky.

I got 106.
But I only did the first 25.
After that I got bored (or more bored) and just hit the last choice for everything. |

I got 115. I like the style; it feels like floor-tile pattern-matching actually has some use. As floor-tiles get overtly complicated my cache overflowed but it is interesting to know at some point that some genius can think in really high dimensions.
On the about page it says about being inspired by Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices. While I was at it I did identify patterns similar to the determinant of matrices. A little unfair advantage for me, I guess.
I too began to fail at 26. |

I got 140.
Edit: 143, figured it out in the 2nd attempt. Hah, I feel pride swelling up. _________________ The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. Terry Pratchett

I didn't say I started failing.
I said I got bored and stopped. |

I got 123, & I had to rush through the last few as my dinner was getting cold (is my excuse).
Actually I'm very pleased, but isn't it really only determining pattern recognition? Aren't there other factors it should be measuring? |

Well I took this one and another today and the difference between the two was 42, and it's just that by the simple method of getting a small self-help book on doing IQ tests, your intelligence quotient can go up significantly. And yes, the most credible IQ tests I've taken on the internet, this one included, are completely based on completing a sequence. I just can't seriously believe that if one's skill at understanding sequences grows, their overall intelligence does too in correspondence.
Of course, I wouldn't mind advice on improving on sequence-spotting as I love to learn most anything, however unimportant in the real world. |

I actually know my IQ (well, according to the IQ they administer in school), and this was pretty off base by about 15 points.
I love patterns up to a certain point, but then they start annoying me and I don't like them anymore. I think I just got sick of the same test repeated, even though they were progressively harder, I just didn't stay interested enough to take the time to figure them out. |
