I do. When I speak, it's like reading out loud from my head. I avoid saying words if I don't know how they are spelled, because I like to pronounce each letter.

shrug

It's Times New Roman if anyone was wondering... Laughing

Sometimes... but I think my brain tends to prefer Arial instead of Times New Roman. *laughs*

Not for me. I see images of things. I can see text if I want, but then it's just another image.
Maybe you should change that font, Times New Roman can't be healthy... Laughing

Do the reverse, say words to see them spelled out in head, usually visualize the right spelling, even when watching the spelling bee, not knowing any of the words, got half or so. Can visualize nouns, geometric shapes, past events, math, etcetera. Practice makes perfect, although still unable to do Rain Man tricks.

Yup... though not always. I do this when I need to be precise in what I'm saying - sort of a mental teleprompter. It also works really well as a Spell Checker Smile

If I'm trying to convey an abstract thought, I have to translate the image through the teleprompter. This extra layer of processing (if that's what it is) can be cumbersome.

Helvetica here Laughing

Yeah I do the same thing, anything and everything I can think of is an image in my head and if I don't have an image for it I have a difficulty understanding or comprehending it. Also, when I study for a test I have images of the pages in the text book in my head so when I am taking the test I see the pages and read off of them in my mind. It is pretty cool; my business law teacher even commented on how good my memory is because on his essay tests I would write the information down exactly how it was in the book word for word.

I do that too. I first realized it in high school. I couldn't think of the answer to a test question, but I remembered reading about it. So I mentally got the page out and read it in my mind and found the answer. I was proud of myself, and a little freaked out. Laughing Embarassed

I do this. I used to write out words in the air before saying them out loud, because it helped me to organise what I was about to say. I don't do this so much anymore because it looks weird, but I still see words in my head; either what somebody else has just said to me, or what I'm thinking of saying. Fyi, my head-font is Tahoma.

I used to. I think that at one point I deliberately taught myself to do things on a much lower level, so that I could respond more quickly. Now when I think in words it's sounds, but when I think actions, it's kinesthetic.

Wow, I wish I had that kind of memory, where I could just recall whole pages of text as if I were looking at them. I think maybe I'm the exact opposite, as sometimes I just dream in prose without any visuals, especially if I've been writing alot. Does anyone else at all get that?

Yes I do, especially when I'm trying to think of just the right word to convey what I'm trying to get across. My thoughts and memories are photographic and video-like, so when I can't get my thoughts across using that, it's like I'll go into my visual dictionary and try to find the right words, then figure out exactly how to verbalize them. Sometimes it turns into a multi step process for me and it either puts me behind in conversations or annoys people who wonder why I don't answer their questions right away.
