Flaming, hating, favoritism, etc. is not making this an autistic-friendly site. This site is like the only place where I can be myself and talk to anyone about anything because I have no friends (or anybody to talk to about that stuff I write on here) in real-life and what like CockneyRebel said, and no offense to any members here, but people on this site used to be more supportive when I first joined, don't know what happened, though.

what I sense from people is that they think because we have AS we should have certain traits-and if we don't we're not AS or something
or the they say your friend but treat you as if you did something wrong and owe them something
I keep contact with AS people to a minimum-I learned just because someone has AS doesn't mean they'll fit at all with you

Not sure but I do find it hard at times to even post in some forums without attacks espeacially the Haven. I thought replys were so suppose to be a little more sensative than what I've seen. I don't even bother posting topics in that particular one anymore because it's the last place I'd want to get that kind of crud. I think people should be a little sensative to what that person's going through whether it be a crisis or depression. But also I've seen some supportive people as well.
I don't know since new people come and other people leave for whatever reason so I can't really guess or assume what's really going on. I do find people will automatically side with someone just because they think they know them and it can be a bad thing. No one is always going to know what is going on just because of a mishap in a thread. It's normal in life but on a site that's suppose to be of support, it's not always a good thing.

It will get better. This site has been around for 4 or so years and as more people join it changes, but it won't shut down just because it goes through hard times.
