I'm not too familiar with the idea of fantasy sports but it sounds like something I used to do with my friends when we played Tecmo Football on Super Nintendo where we each picked our favorite players from a selection of the best and put them in our own teams and competed against each other.

Anyways...I keep reading posts where we "deputize" a celebrity, writer/artist, scientist, or whomever with the label of Asperger's. Stephen Spielberg, Andy Warhol, Albert Einstein...the list goes on and on.

Is this like some kind of informal Fantasy Aspie League that some of us participate in sometimes? Choosing the best of the best and proclaiming them members of some league of extraordinary aspies? And if so, is it fun and inspiring? Or just an unecessary distraction from our own everday struggles?

One thing I've found out is that over the years, what started out as "fun stuff' has become more seriously taken. People get categorized based on what one person may come up with. As times goes on, that list grows, becomes more visible and , eventually, important in society.

This happens in baseball a lot, with the "30-30" club (30 homes & 30 stolen bases in the same year.) This was once unknown, but now players get bigger contracts because of it.

People are also judged into catagories based on what cars they drive. The fancier the look, the richer they are assumed to be.

Categorizing people is an ongoing process in the world. It happens with a lot of things.
