One newspaper article stated that these girls used the ‘services’ of a homeless man to get them pregnant. Great start their kids will have! No father, probably a genetic tendency toward mental illness and mothers as dumb as rocks. Add to that: likely to be rasied on government handouts.

If their sons start to grow up very quickly and want to go to the library at night, they are in trouble. Same thing if they start to be very attracted to the sea as they get over 30.

"All it took was a few simple questions before nearly half the expecting students, none older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together. Then the story got worse. "We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy," the principal says, shaking his head."

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
How stupid are those girls being? If you want babies, at least do it with a guy you can get tested...what diseases could this guy be carrying?

My first impression was that they got the idea from H.P. Lovecraft.

Why would these sons, if they grew up quickly, want to go to the library at night or start to be very attracted to the sea when they get over 30?

sex and being pregnant are different things...sure they're related, but in pop culture you don't see images of "being pregnant is hip!", it's more like:"if you're a virgin, hahaha you're a loser"

Which is odd, I've always respected (and envied!) those that could hold on to their virginity. It builds character.

Yeah, I've had that general reaction as well from those you actually talk to about it, but society in general gives off the opposite effect. If your not sex'n it up, your a loser because your not normal. Happens with a lot of things actually. (the "loser" for not being "normal" thing I mean)

This is a good example of the "ideal culture vs. the real culture".

Ideal culture Stay abstinent until you're married.
Real culture : If you don't lose your virginity, you're a loser because you don't have sex and might be gay.

Problem is that people who consider others losers if they don't have sex, will become the teenage mothers and fathers of the future. They will be the real losers.

Or they will just have safe sex and proceed with their lives thinking they are a rank higher than you because they "scored". You get all types in this world Razz
