I am obsessed with that movie. My sister and I watch it everyday. We sing all the songs. Our favorit is "What's This?". _________________ I think I know. I don't think I know. I don't think I think I know. I don't think I think. |

Yes, I think it's good too, but really only in french. The voices are better, less syrupy/fake sentimental. Found the same thing with James and the Giant Peach which is brilliant in french and considerably less inspiring in the original english language, ( partic the songs, but also the boy's voice).
The french dub english-language comedies dreadfully but seem to have a magic touch with fantasy and similar sorts of film. Perhaps because the american-english voice dripping with cultural irony, is distancing from the materiel, whereas the french are sooo serious.
Have just ordered a couple of seasons of SG-1 from Amazon, but am now worried that I won't like them as much , because they will be the english versions. Will the voices be as convincing? I have only ever watched SG-1 in french!
Anyway, I love TNBC too, in french. ( I hated the english version. Couldn't bear the main male voice).

| I absolutely adore the film. It's just about the only film I'd consider perfect. Most movies that I watch that many times, I get sick of. I got sick of The Matrix! But I love The Nightmare Before Christmas every time. |

I love it. I can't wait for the new dvd release. In fact, I love all of Tim Burton's movies. _________________ Currently Reading: Survival by Juliet E. Czerneda

I was disappointed by the 3D release...it started off with this 3D pumpkin and a disembodied voice saying "The movie will begin in 5..." and a 3D smoke letter five popped out from the screen, "4..." and a 3D smoke letter four...and it went on. And it was like, "Oh, awesome!"
Then the actual movie begins and none of it ever shot out of the screen. The screen itself looked blurry as hell, especially whenever the camera moved. Were there some kinda cool 3D-ish effects? Yeah, but it was like a hologram. Nothing ever popped out like in the intro. AND IT WAS FREAKING EXPENSIVE AS HELL. Disappointing. D: |

| I like that movie. I liked it as a child, and I still like it. My favorite song is "This Is Halloween". I get the chills when I hear Marilyn Manson's cover version. I also like "Jack's Lament". |

My mom never let me watch it when I was little either. It came out when I was in first grade, and I didn't see it till I was in middle school, and I fell in love with it!
Now my mom will buy me any creepy movie I want. She gave up on sheltering me since I started high school. _________________ Jesus was an anarchist. |
