I've been thinking that I might be one someday.

Unfortunately, yes - my teenage cousin looks up to me a lot, and I'd really rather he didn't.

My younger next door neighbor really looks up to me - though I'm not sure what she finds so admirable about me...

My stepsiblings and the SPEDs from Academic communication.

I hate the idea of being one, because that places a limit on the kind of activities I can do.

Every time I do what I want, somebody says, ''Don't do that! They'll do it too, they look up to you!''

Yes, though surprisingly(To me) to people the same age as myself or older. There was a fellow student in 11th grade that would call me his hero, I gave him drawing lessons. And there was a middle-aged man in the church we went to at the time that confided to me that he looked up to me. He told me that even though you(I) don't know it, people are always watching you, so you may be a role model to people without even knowing it.

It was kind of shocking to think that people would see me as a role model. I'm kind of honored, but at the same time annoyed. I told him he shouldn't look up to me so much, people will always let you down. I wonder if he found someone else to look up to, or if he quit after I gave up church.

One person told me I'm a good example for him of being oneself. That was pretty cool. Smile

When I taught Sunday school and there after I was looked up to by many children, and even some of my peers. It was very unnerving and probably is part of why I left the church. Part of it could have been that 'if I am so great in comparison to these others (like these children's parents) then they must be in a sad state.' I later found out it was because I actually listened to them.

Don't know about a role model but I know a kid that looked up to me and thought the world of me.

it's perhaps the one reason that kept me from ending it all a couple of years ago. Couldn't bear to think how it'd affect that kid.

then, in the closing months of last year, when I learned of AS and realized the WHY life was the way it was for me...

well, lets just say I owe my life to that kid. Life is awkward eh?

No, but a few people have been just absolutely obsessed with me. At first, it was really cool and all, but it was just weird after a while. This happened in my freshman and senior years.

My cousin's two sons. I don't see them much, but when I do they always are super-happy to see me. My sister always tells me they think the world of me but I just think I'm one of the few older males that will actually play with them. All of my Uncles and stuff are old.

My one and only friend looks up to me a lot. He never said so but I can kind tell because he holds my opinions highly, always asks my advice, etc. Or maybe that's just what friends do idk. I never ask for his advice though.

I interned at an elementary school for a few years ,one kid practically worshipped me. I don't know why. He always asked questions like "When I'm a teenager will I have long finger nails?" . I don't clip my finger nails that often.

I'm a camp counselor, so some of the campers look up to me. It happens.
