Awesome idea! I'm glad there is now forum to post current events related stuff. Good articles on infectious disease invading planet earth, as well.

Yes. I'd say current news related to Politics, Philosophy and Religion could go into either place. PP and R forum is more for items that tend to get debated.
An article on the new government of XYZ country could go in either place. An editorial or opinion or poll about it would be better in the PP and R.
Just my opinion.
