ROME, Italy (AP) -- Police say a family in southern Italy kept a woman locked in a room in their house for 18 years because they were angry she was pregnant out of wedlock.
Police say they freed the woman, now 47, on Friday in Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The ANSA news agency said she was taken to hospital for psychiatric care.
Police said they arrested her brother and sister, and put her 80-year-old mother under house arrest. ANSA says police received an anonymous tip.
Italian TV showed the room with a bed, chair, filthy toilet and sink.
Police said the woman's child, now 17, was living with relatives and didn't know about his mother.

You're not the only one who's had kids torn out of their life.
However bad things were in the past, they're a thousand times worse since butch the feminist seized power. Tearing kids and fathers apart is now done on a wholesale industrial scale. Butch the feminist is not accountable to any law, even the laws it writes, or to anybody except it's feminist girlfriends.
It's an undeserved insult to half the human population to use human female pronouns to refer to the feminist things, which cannot be considered either human or female.
It's fogged up that you'd attempt to use the suffering of some innocent in Italy to glorify innocent people suffering and innocent lives destroyed for the pleasure of sadistic feminists.

original post + first response = confused second response
CW, where did this come from? I don't support either gender given preferential treatment under the legal system, but I don't see where that was even mentioned! Please, explain.

are you talking about the French and Spanish language (and Portugese, too) that assigns male and female genders to tables and chairs, etc?
I am a bit confused,

I don't understand who this Butch the Feminist is supposed to be but from the context in which it is used, I gather she is some state senator or something similar. _________________ Break out you Western girls,

Huh?
Though I don't know what the heck he's trying to say, I know the "good ole days" people are so nostalgic over are a good ole myth. If I had been born just a few years earlier, I would've been snatched from my mother for her crime of being unwed and 16 years old at the time. Then I would've spent my first few years in foster care (since black babies don't get adopted as much) and the remaining years in some Willowbrook-type institution just because I never met society's definition of "normal".
Before you start going off about "feminazis" and what not, please do some research about how things really were in the past.....

I'm a feminist.
I like to consider myself both human and female. What grounds do you have to consider me otherwise? |

Days of whine and ropes topic
I think we have lost the main idea in the AP story Merle has provided. Women should not be subject to abuse for having had children out of wedlock. The persons who kept this woman in lockdown for seventeen years clearly broke the law. In the good ole days, the woman may have been murdered--and her infant, too. nirrti_rachelle, and African American, might have been publically lynched. Sinsboldly was 'advised' to give her child away, without some investigation into her situation.
Where were the men in all of these situations? Yep, the good ole days. _________________ Radical Aspergian

no, I was not 'advised', the State adoption agency came and took her away from the hospital, it was arranged and done without my volition one way or the other. I cried, I wailed, I kicked up a fuss, but . . . she was gone 'to a good family.' I was wheeled out of the hospital in a wheelchair to the bus stop, they waited until the bus came and that, as they say, was that.(1968, Mercy Hospital, San Diego, CA)
