We Aut to have rights too! topic

I have to laugh. The Spanish argue for ape rights and still abuse the bulls. I think this may be why they did not pass a more broad Animal Cruelty legislation. Tourism dollars trump banning bovine torture tournaments. Evil or Very Mad

Apes versus Aspies/Auties. Does it have to come to this? Interesting topic, Greentea.

Apes are much closer to humans than we are.

I so totally agree! I always say NT humans and animals are much more alike between them than I am to other humans.

That's a nice thing to do but what about all the other animals? Dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, etc. We share 98% of our DNA with a fruit fly too, why aren't they being given human rights? People should start respecting all animals, regardless of how they are related to humans. It seems so selfish. We will only treat a living thing with decency because it is believed to be related to us somehow and we don't even treat our own species with decency.
