Hello! I'm new and i have asperger syndrome. I cant live with it anymore, sometimes i think im in a video game, or alien from another planet who is visiting planet earth. Am I the only one on this forum to have this impression. It makes me feel bad, that i am alone with all those feelings.

I'd say you're not alone. Just knowing there are others who see through the same facet of the prism can help with the feelings of displacement and frustration. Welcome, and I look forward to your contributions.

Welcome  You're certainly not alone. Speaking on behalf of other members here, a lot of us joined this site because we felt we were 'from the wrong planet.' I've also felt like an outsider, or a visitor, looking on and observing people in the world. In short, you'll fit in just fine here

yeah i just saw it last night.
I'm very high functioning compared to a lot of people on the spectrum. just seeing me in day to day life, you probably wouldn't guess that i have asperger's, and i had my doubts because i appear so normal, but this movie solidified my belief that my diagnosis is accurate. i hadn't felt empathy until i saw this movie, i felt what the character was feeling, knew what he was thinking, and it actually brought a few tears to my eyes at a few points in the movie when i relived my childhood meltdowns and bullying. i thought the story was very good too, and it really conveyed the message well, but the ending did seem a little bit weak. it was a really good con, and i really liked it, but i think it could have been wrapped up a bit better because it seemed too much like a fairy tail ending.
but i'm just nitpicking there, i had a really good time watching this, my parents liked it, and i think it helped them understand a bit more. |
