Okay well...people have been saying that for how long now? 7 years? I thought trends were all about change and isn't that phrase sooo 7 years ago? Has it been longer?  |

don't take it so personally
can't you take a joke
I'm not thrilled with the "Catz speak" on "lolcats.com" but some of them are very funny in concept and I "love me some"<----(poor grammer I actually like for some obscene reason  ) cute kitty pictures.
The new ones at work I can't even repeat because they are all swearing...I guess swearing is funny?(these are people in their 20-50's )...and they say WE are immature?

The slipping in of "the fact that" before unfounded speculation, or opinion:
I can't believe they aren't doing anything about the fact that tomorrow Jez will get a cold or something and the whole thing won't work.
Politicians conveniently ignore the fact that their voters all hate them.
Even if the utterer of this phrase is saying something interesting or even correct, I get very annoyed by this phrase - it's as if they tacked on the end of the sentence "and I'm right of course".. how do they know all these things are facts?
*rant rant*
Also, non-literal use of "literally":
"He's literally making a name for himself in science."
"She literally exploded with rage."
And "sufficiently enough" is so terrible as to be funny, but I hear it used far too often.

"just joking" said after an insult. that doesn't make it ok man.
same with no offence. that does not make it ok either.
constant swearing...i am in my 20's and i don't mind swearing but i don't get the need for swearing a lot as in 3 times a sentance or more. |
