I was never able to learn, however much I tried. Something to do with my bad fine motor skills. AS-related, I suppose. _________________ "It is the wounded oyster that mends its shell with pearl" - Ralph Waldo Emerson |

I loved to dance when I was drinking...one of my favorite things to do, but I can't do it sober...I miss it I can't say I did it well, I think I probably looked pretty nerdy but I loved the feeling of spinning. I could never dance with soeone else though and when someone would approach me dancing on the floor and ask me to dance...it was very awkward. I would just say...."that is what I AM doing ) _________________ Just because one plane is flying out of formation, doesnt mean the formation is on course....R.D.Lang

| I love dancing, but I can be apprehensive sometimes. I don't know if i'm a good dancer by others standards, but I don't dance to look good, just to have fun |

I dance like a lead scarecrow in a tornado... it's not a pretty scene, and thus routinely avoided.

My dancing usually involves swaying/shoulder moving and headbobbing for rock and roll.
I would love to be able to actually dance, though. I am personally in awe of ball room dancers - I think if I tried that I wouldn't have ankles left. I have a hard enough time walking on the flat in my running shoes without falling on my face (sadly, that is a literal statement, sigh ), never mind being on the top of high heels while being spun around the room at exorbitant rates of speed. _________________ Those who don't hear the music, think the dancer quite mad.

I can dance if I'm feeling the music just right...especially stuff like boogie rock, that stuff gets me going. A little caffeine helps, too
Can't dance to that stuff that normal kids these days dance to, though...even the hip-hop and stuff, it's all just too slow for me...no soul, no energy, no nothing. I don't know how they do it. I wanna feel the adrenaline rush that the rhythm section are feeling while they pound those skins and pluck those strings. You can't get that from synthetic music. _________________ How wonderful to be so profound. |

People often confuse my dancing with grand mal seizures. I decided to abstain after the
paramedics got tired of being called for nothing. |

LOL LTP
I remember people thinking I was weird when back in the eighties I wasn't able to get the steps you're supposed to make to dance rock&roll. That was when I definitely realized something was different about me from the rest of the people. _________________ "It is the wounded oyster that mends its shell with pearl" - Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Dance of the slap-happy shades topic
Yes. I like to listen to it, so I can feel the rhythm inside my body, like a stim. But I do this privately. _________________ Radical Aspergian
