I'm kinda old compared to the rest of the board (26). When I was younger and I didn't have the internet, I listened to orbital. I loved them. Does anyone else share an the love of this band? I haven't listened to their music in forever, but I just downloaded the brown album and I'm loving it as much as I did when I was 17.
I'm remembering traveling across the country with my dad, and the only thing keeping me sane in the hotel rooms and airplanes is listening to orbital on my portable CD player. (Yeah, it must seem ancient to everyone who grew up with iPods.) I really loved the song named after "Dirty Water" on the Yellow Album, it was "Dwr Birdr" or something like that.

(I'd link to Lush 3-2 but I can't find that.)
(( Edit: fixed my image links. ))

Like some stuff of theirs, though don't know most of it. That's my disclaimer.
Get them confused with The Orb & William Orbit (know which is which-but still it happens).
Have the Opus3 CD "Mind Fruit" with the song "It's a Fine Day"-that "Halcyon" comes from (or the vocalist from Opus3 came in & did it with Orbital).
Especially like a couple extended mix versions of "Funny Break (One is Enough)".
The one Orbital CD I own is "Work 1989-2002", it's so-so according to my tastes. _________________ *"You cannot administer a wicked law impartially-it destroys everyone it touches, its violators as well as its upholders."* |

I heard them on WipEouT's soundtrack. Chemical Brothers are pretty cool too.
I grew up on Crystal Method and Fatboy Slim |

I really enjoyed Orbital. The NY remix with Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle gets bonus points for the bizarre factor.

Wow! Someone else rather than me likes this album.
I love the flowing mix of Lush 3-1, Lush 3-2, and Impact (The Earth Is Burning).
The brown album is much more developed then the green album.
Orbital are awesome, best 90s techno around. |
