India.
Sweden.
Japan.
Hong Kong.
I'd like to immigrate to one of these. I'm not sure which yet. I know that all the above countries appeal for various reasons including the diets of the countries, the low crime rates, the more environmentally friendly lifestyles and the larger acceptance of the need for efficient public transport and equal opportunities. |

Have you REALLY looked at india? MOST of the people are ILLITERATE, and there are DOZENS of "official" languages. They give lip service to hindi and english. BTW FEW speak english well, and they tend to be in the more wealthy areas. They have a caste system.
Apparently, the sanitation and infrastructure can be as bad as, or worse than, mexico! Even the "toilets" are different.
BTW I have talked to a number of indians about this, work with LOTS of indians, have studied it and its people a bit, and know some hindi.
Japan, and I am sure hong kong, are known for being racist. In some areas you will likely have subtle problems. Maybe it won't seem worse, because it is similar to how NT people treat AS people, but STILL...
Sweden might be nice. I have heard the taxes can be high though. 8-(
BTW About India. Signs can be multilingual, some languages are very different and have the same symbols, but most have their own. ALSO, the symbols are often written "artistically WITHOUT consideration given to readability. I can read a lot of devanegari, but a LOT of those signs are HARD to read!

they're all very far away...
Sweden is supposedly the ideal. We have entire political movements dedicated to making us more like Scandanavia...
India - up and coming. Great wealth and great poverty side by side (well, that's hardly unique...
Japan - expensive, costly, outrageous, and did I mention things cost a lot?...
Hong Kong - part of China now. China is hardly known for environmental control, you can almost carve a chunk out of the air there. It's getting better, though.
To be honest for a sec, why not visit them first? Contact their embassies, go online, get information there, find people from there to talk to. Just a thought. |

Good and bad in every country, and depends where you go... but if you choose any of these - India, Sweden, Japan, Hong Kong forget the aspie aspect... but you could always help educate them. _________________ "Believe in your self, we are who we are - as it can feel like an endless task trying to be someone else!" Hong Kong definitely doesn't have an environmentally friendly lifestyle. Light pollution can be a big problem if you live in the more crowded areas in Hong Kong.
As for racist problems, the most common one, surprisingly, is discrimination against people from Mainland China, but it's getting better. There are also discrimination against people from Pakistan, Philippines...
As for being against aspies, I think the majority of HK people haven't even heard of what Asperger's is, rarely do autism or asperger's come up in the media. The last time I read about it was a report on how there are not enough school places for students not from Hong Kong with autism.
Hong Kong's also very crowded and unless you're super rich or you live somewhere in the more rural part of HK, you'll most probably not be able to live in anywhere that has two floors, and most probably live in a small flat.
Sweden sounds wonderful
Hope this helps a bit. |

Based off my pre-existing information, Sweden, Japan or Hong Kong.
I don't know HK was bad in terms of pollution; they don't have much industry (do they?) And I knew of crowding but I think the OP has a decent amount of money for a decent house.
HK technically has some independence. _________________ I am a Star Wars Fan, Warsie here.

I've always had my thoughts on Finland. They seem like a lovely little country, well-educated children, crime rate is low, etc. I'm sure Sweden would be just as nice. I hope to visit them both some day. _________________ Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstein |

Of those 4 I would only consider Sweden.
I live in British Columbia, Canada. It is wonderful here. Have you considered Canada?
Vancouver has some of the best sushi in the world, we also have hundreds of small communities if you prefer. |

Yeah, but heaven help you if you need government assistance. And there's no support for autistic adults, so you have to be self sufficient.
The hiking is good, though. |

WHERE ON EARTH are you from? People aren't against people with AS because of a name! It is because of the DIFFERENCES!
Frankly, I was treated differently LONG before ANYONE in the US apparently heard of it. If anything, having a name makes it BETTER! |

I'm from Hong Kong.
I'm referring to the fact that most people have not heard of AS, there is little, if not none, assistance to people with mild autism, especially adults. I agree that people aren't against people with AS because of a name, and that having a name to explain the difference makes it better, which leads back to the point that the fact that very little people know about AS in HK could be a disadvantage if you try to explain to them your difference. |

| I've lived in Sweden, and most of the people there are cold and indifferent. They're not crazy about foreigners, but they do have good social services. Everything is expensive! The crime rate depends on where you are living, in some parts of Stockholm there are rapes almost every day. The diet is not that different from anywhere else, but the public transport is pretty good and if you're gay, it's the best country in the world for gay rights. |

Norway is a lopvely country, allways a place for peace and quiet, entertainment, good colleges and universities etc.
But I would not choose Oslo. We have plenty of other nice cities/towns. Oslo has a high level of crime, prostitutes, beggars... |
