I'm really looking for a job in MD that will keep me from talking to too many people. Most specifically customers, really. I have virtually no skills because I've never been to college.. but I'm great with computers and I can learn software pretty quickly. Many people have suggested temp agencies but I haven't the slightest clue how to go about getting a job with one. I also don't have a car. Any ideas?

Have you considered doing VOLUNTEER work at any place you are interested in working for? Volunteer work allows you to get
your foot in the door...and when they see you are a good worker, they are very likely to start paying you for the work you do...
volunteer work brings you in contact with the person who actually does the hiring at a company or business.

Volunteer work pays off in many ways...in hard economic times when jobs are scarce, it shows you are motivated to keep yourself busy doing "anything," instead of spending your time at the beach, playground or some other foolhardy way.

When an employer looks at a person's job application or resume, an employer first looks at the section showing any VOLUNTEER work in that person's life...volunteering your time for any worthy cause says alot about the character of a person, much more than the jobs you got paid for doing.

So, don't brush off the idea of volunteer work...it can lead to that paying job you really want!

Something I'll keep in mind during my college years. Smile
Thanks. n.n
