I was diagnosed at 4 years old, back in 1975/6,
Autism/ADHD, seen by a psychologist and sociologist at a mental institution, I believed it was called something else instead of ADHD then. Tested with an IQ of 144, took no drugs growing up and gave my mother a LOT of grey hair as a kid.
Climbing out of basement windows (supposed to be taking a nap) and wondering down the road for miles in the city often when I was 2 - 4. |

A little over a year ago, near the end of 9th grade. I was 14 and ignored the diagnosis until a few months ago when everyone in my Anatomy/Physiology class had to do a project and presentation on a neurological disease or disorder and I picked AS because I researched it a little a year ago. I started reading a lot about AS and kind of embraced it with certainty now. I asked for and supposedly recieved extra credit because I had the disorder I was presenting. I didn't actually tell the class; I just expected certain people to know I was tlaking about myself. _________________ Run or Die |

Why are you embarrassed there mate? At least you got it at a young age, the younger the better. I had to wait till I was 12 (same age as you) to get it. Made my life a bit easier but my mother had already learned to understand me when I was little but she knew more about me when I was diagnosed. _________________ http://www.factcheck.org/

| diagnosed when I was 3-4 years old, but not much was done back then and some of the things they did my parents wouldn't allow me to participate in. Instead I was placed in a school where the classes were only about 10-15 students and placed in counselling outside of school. |
